Position Summary:

The primary purposes of the Third Party Planner are: 1. Basic Business: Planning the short to medium term product requirements to ensure the corporate customer service and inventory targets are achieved. This is done while considering both material availability and subcontractor's capacity management. 2. New Product Planning: cradle to grave launch execution at the subcontractor, working with GBSC as one integrated team to drive launch timelines and meet target ship dates. 3. Supply Management: managing and measuring subcontractor performance, using specific commodity expertise to negotiate deliveries, priorities, capacity, and production to meet Estee Lauder service needs. 4. Master Data Collaboration: provide a single point of contact within each subcontractor. 5. Procurement: ensuring the timely and accurate flow of launch and basic business components to the subcontracting facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Balance sequence and scheduling issues with suppliers, confirm material/wip/raw availabilty, issuing Stock Transport Orders/Legacy Supply requisitions to call in components from HUB/Outside storage/Other Vendors

  • Confirm material availability and capacity to create process orders to support service objectives. This may include creation of stock transport orders/supply requisitions from local HUB or other warehouse facilities

  • Review material shortages and follow up with appropriate material planner(s) in SAP or supplier in legacy.

  • Review and balance days/weeks of supply to ensure proper date maintenance, quantity as well as sequencing and prioritizing of production runs

  • Communicate shortages/low days/weeks of supply to branded supply planning

  • Inventory management of chemicals and components, including de-expediting and root cause analysis using Delfor.

  • Manage the launch plan in legacy and SAP systems. Confirm forecast is complete, set launch plots and planning fences according to the launch policy.

  • Responsible for direct procurement of launch and basic business components - actioning purchase requisition/purchase orders as per agreed upon supplier timeline for first time buys, including purchase order confirmations and expediting and de-expediting as a result of changes in demand quantities and timelines.

  • Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of Master Data enrichment in close collaboration with the Master Data Stewards at the plant. This includes post launch updates to the MRP controller and material status.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

U University degree/or equivalent experience


  • APICS Certification preferred

  • Experience in Demand and/or Supply Planning

  • Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office

Related Planning /Procurement experience a plus

  • 5-10% Travel may be required
