The Account Coordinator acts as the liaison between the retailer and the vendor. They are the in-store contact for communication between the Retail staff and Department Store Management. They are responsible for overseeing daily business activities of all counter associates. Their focus must result in maximized retail sales and increased market share. The Account Coordinator needs to achieve excellence in Point of Sale execution, via coaching and developing the teams, ensuring adherence to all brand merchandising guidelines and standards as well partnering with Store Management as an advocate for the brand.


  • To coach, motivate and develop team to achieve individual goals and targets utilizing talent where applicable

  • On-boarding new hires via hands-on coaching and training at counter

  • Provide recognition/reward for excellence in selling and service

  • Ensure all team members are adhering to the Brand’s Service Ritual at all times

  • Leads by example with team and demonstrates a mentoring style of management

  • Identify any education needs so a plan of action can be developed in cooperation with Education Executive.

  • Planning, organizing, staffing and executing special events, both in-store and on location

  • Manage freelance pool, including maintaining relationships, setting up new hires, scheduling in alignment with coverage needs with budgets in mind.

  • To monitor business and analyze results for all counters in territory to recognize areas of opportunity, areas of growth, and CRM opportunities to build and impact on overall business. Be aware of department trend and ranking MTD, STD, and YTD.

  • Communicate brand/product performance as well as competitive performance and activity

  • Implement Service Certifications, follow-up with teams as needed to ensure any identified areas of opportunity are coached to

  • Maintaining brand image by monitoring product merchandising, staff presentation and counter cleanliness and organization

  • In Partnership with Account Executive, work with store management to address any issues or concerns

  • Responsible for the timing execution of all in store marketing programs

  • Managing stock quantities for both retail and non-retail items

  • Keeping counter staff well informed and supplied with the proper tools for them to manage their daily businesses

  • Managing personal expenses and maintaining a budget for those expenses

  • Maintaining excellent customer relations both internally and externally

  • Reporting directly to the Account Executive/Regional Sales Director on daily business activities

  • Escalate any concerns or issues to Account Executive/Regional Sales Director that may be identified during store visits

  • In partnership with the Account Executive – recruiting & hiring of counter associates

  • Coach and speak to the company’s High-touch Leadership Competencies with staff to foster the use of the common language.



  • Position requires minimum 2-3 years of experience in sales & administrative duties.

  • Strong computer skills in Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

  • Strong verbal communications skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.

  • Ability to travel between locations
