Demonstrate the highest level of product knowledge and artistry skills along with customer recruitment, service and selling ability. Inspire Bobbi Brown retail and freelance makeup artists to elevate their artistry techniques and client care.


After 6 months in role

o Achieve Featured Artist event sales targets and execute seasonal event formats

o Demonstrate exceptional strength in Artistry and hold Bobbi Brown Certifications

o Master and exemplify Bobbi’s makeup philosophy and brand standards

o Continuous development of personal makeup artistry skills and techniques

o Drive sales through artistry, strengthen the artistry skill level of the makeup artists via leading by example, to ensure Bobbi’s techniques are understood and consistently demonstrated

Scope of Work:

o 65% of time as featured artists for Trend Shows, Master Classes, Mega Events and retailer corporate beauty events.

o 20% of time dedicated to artistry development and improvement of presentations skills by attending Bobbi sponsored developmental trainings and functions.

o 5% of time dedicated to sharing feedback & input to AE/EE to be utilized in curriculum writing of special event training modules and event bulletins.

o 10% of time for administrative tasks such as booking travel and submitting expenses.

Event Execution

o Serve as face of Bobbi Brown during events, exemplify highest standard of customer care and translate best in class artistry technique into sales.

o Host Pre Event Rally for retail artists and freelance artists supporting event, presenting event focus, specific artistry, selling and service Pro Tips along with Sales Goal, SPH and product pairings.

o Understand and act as a role model, showcasing Bobbi’s brand philosophies, face charting, customer engagement and artistry techniques to strengthen adoption of/ sustainable change in artistry and service practices by MUA

o Summarize and communicate results of in-store events to AE, RSD, EADM and Artistry Department post event with key learnings.

Artistry Development: Self & Others

o Maintain open communication with Artistry Department via status calls, and email to receive artistry strategy and direction that is in line with brand strategy for the season

o Participate in PR and Artistry Department Events as needed.

o Conduct Artist Certification for eligible artists as needed.

o Provide real time/ in the moment coaching to artistry gaps observed during events

Budget Management:

o Adhere to personal T&E budget in accordance with ELC corporate policies.

o Review budget and monthly expenditures with Events Manager

o Organize all expense receipts and submit expense reports through GERS on a monthly basis

  • Basic computer and online technical skills

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced multi-dimensional environment

  • Ability to travel frequently nationally, possible international


o The position requires moderate physical effort.

o Event tools and supplies, (weighing 40lbs when loaded) must be lifted and transferred to and from vehicles and event venues.

o During events, packing and unpacking of materials is required. There may also be moving and setting up of chairs, tables and furniture needed.

o Maintain and transport own makeup kit.

o Travel by air and car is required, possibly for extended periods of time.

o At counters, one may stand nearly 8 hours.

Working Conditions

o Work Locations could include but are not exclusive to: Retail Partnered Store (Department Store/retail selling floor), training rooms, film, TV, photography studio, hotel, restaurant or conference room, makeup room environment, back stage fashion shows, home parties at client’s home.
