Regional Sales & Education Director
The Regional Sales & Education Director is responsible to plan and manage the execution of the territory to deliver the sales, shipping, returns, and market share goals for the territory while staying within the budgeted spending guidelines. This will occur by execution of the following job responsibilities:
Responsibility to Company:
Develop seasonal/annual business plans by brand and account that will deliver the company sales, shipping and market share objectives. Plans to include demonstration, promotional, and T&E spending.
Strategize with the Regional Vice President and the Sales & Education Executive Team on promotional and business programs that will deliver the best sales results.
Negotiate, along with the Point Sales & Education Executive, for proper stock levels to accomplish sales goals.
Influence account management's understanding of and action toward company's needs by insuring appropriate stock levels, timely order flow and general business support.
Negotiate premier space and location (and out-posting, where possible) for the company's brands.
Provide timely information to the Regional Vice President about customer and brand priorities.
Insure that company policies and financial control procedures are followed.
Provide New York office with shipping projection information.
Provide Sales & Education Executives with administrative information required for shipment projections, actual sales, collateral and set allocations, etc.
Interface with Education to accomplish AC/BA training objectives.
Provide feedback to company on the effectiveness of brand strategies and initiatives with suggestions for improvement where possible.
Possess knowledge of basic computer skills to include Outlook, Word and Excel in order to communicate the sales function.
Recruit, train, motivate, coach and develop our people; our company's greatest asset.
Responsibility to People:
The Point RSED covering any accounts with multiple Regional Directors and SE Executives responsible for ongoing communications and directives applicable to overall growth of account.
Communicate job expectations upon hire and continue coaching and developmental conversations in an on-going basis.
Facilitate scheduling for training for new SEE/EE to include Data Warehouse/Outlook training.
Review job performance for all employees annually and on-going, taking into consideration employee feedback.
Responsibility to Accounts:
Provide account business priorities to the appropriate company personnel to maximize in-store presence and business objectives.
In conjunction with Field Sales Manager, communicate to accounts on a timely basis all updates/revisions on shipping and advertising issues.
Communicate retailer's needs, objectives and future plans to Field Sales Manager.
Help facilitate scheduling for Education to train AC, BA, and consultants in order to learn product information and selling tips.
The candidate should have 8 years of relevant experience in sales or education, along with management/supervisory experience. Candidates must have strong leadership and management skills demonstrated by talent and consistent positive sales results. The ability to collaborate and achieve consensus with other groups is imperative. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential as well as budget management and negotiation skills.
