Principle Objective:

The Retail Business Executive (RBE) is accountable for the profitable achievement of sales objectives for assigned doors. The RBE is responsible for the financial success and successful operation of the business within defined doors. The RBE is focused on building the Clinique brand within the market place by managing the execution of sales and marketing programs while maximizing Consultant productivity, clientele management and ensuring the delivery of an elevated client experience.


  • Works with Regional Retail Director to project sales growth and profit for assigned doors.

  • Establishes performance goals for counter teams based on budgeted growth and profitability.

  • Leads the selection process for all counter staff.

  • Maintains awareness of market trends in the region, understanding customer preferences and needs while monitoring what local competitors are doing.

  • Understand client shopping patterns and monitor trends within assigned doors.

  • Works with REE and FEE to create tactical plans to drive retail sales through CRM and Client Experience.

  • Maintains Managers by recruiting, developing, and interviewing Counter and Business Managers.

  • Positively impacts the performance of counter staff by implementing and managing productivity initiatives—including hour utilization, schedule optimization, performance and goal management.

  • Plans and executes amplified seasonal special events in top doors working collaboratively with key internal and external partners—responsible for special events budget and hour utilization of promotional Consultants.

  • Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all merchandising, promotional materials, and events.

  • Analyzes and manages controllable expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements.

  • Analyzes sales figures—overall sales, Consultant productivity, CRM data, product mix and penetration, and competition, interpreting trends to accelerate sales.

  • Establishes and fosters relationships with retail management to influence implementation of programs and sales initiatives.



The candidate should have 4 years of relevant experience in sales or education, along with management/supervisory experience. Candidates must have strong leadership and management skills demonstrated by talent and consistent positive sales results. The ability to collaborate and achieve consensus with other groups is imperative. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.
