The Business Analyst assists in the preparation and analysis of the different Brand specific financial reporting requirements in coordination with the Finance department. Obtains, centralizes, consolidates, analyzes and diffuses sell-out data set. Runs operational statistics and analyses. Coordination of the systems between expenses and invoices.

The role also implies Demand Planning. (s)He will be responsible for all forecasting activities associated with customers and products for the assigned Brand(s). Creates and maintains forecast models for the customers, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, retailer replenishment analysts and other sources (f.e. Nielsen). Reviews historical sales trends, researches demand drivers, prepares forecast data, develops statistical forecast models, and evaluates forecast results. Prepares and maintains reports relevant to the demand planning process.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparation of SIOP meetings

  • Monthly Estimates

  • Budget preparation

  • Actual spending

  • Budget control

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis

  • Weighted Forecast Accuracy (WFA)

Budget Preparation

  • Analyze and validate Operating Expenses

  • Calculate Gross to Net / COG

  • Follow-up Distribution Strategy (f.e. Tier City analysis)

Financial reporting and analysis

  • Processing various data sets correctly into the systems BI / CPM

  • Execute accurate analysis using BI / CPM

  • Build and review Segment, Business Type, Retailer / Door P&L

Weighted Forecasting Accuracy

  • Analyze and validate data from statistical forecast tool to improve rolling forecasting

  • Present, solicit, and assess feedback on the various forecasts from sales and finance and recommend adjustments for operational forecasts

  • Prepare and organize meetings with sales / marketing teams to achieve consensus with the business side and the demand chain

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor or Master Degree in Finance, accountancy, or related studies.

REQUIRED PROFILE : Very strong Analytical skills. Expert Knowledge of MS Office. Social & Communicative person. Very communicative & assertive person. Initiative taker

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Preferably 1 year of relevant work experience. Newly graduated applications are welcome.

REQUIRED LANGUAGES: Dutch, English and French (written and spoken)
