  1. Serves as voice of the ELC brands to consumers, influencers and advocates in social media, acting as a key conduit to drive Travel Retail social digital strategy while increasing ELC Brands’ earned media value. Works closely with key brand functions in NY and International markets to guide social media content, strategy, engagement and amplification that is relevant to Travel Retail. (Weight: avg. 65%)

  2. Optimize digital media strategy and execution to aggressively accelerate e/m commerce for Estee Lauder Companies’ brands in Travel Retail Korea. (Weight: avg. 35%)


A. Explore and Identify Social media opportunities for TR: Creatively and proactively identify opportunities to engage consumers, influencers and advocates across earned media channels to drive brand conversations and advocacy, regard to the travelling consumer. Particularly, collaborate with retailers to leverage their owned earned media channels – such as reviews and ratings on preorder sites – to drive better conversions for our brand preorder purchases.

B. Enhance the existing digital marketing calendar with Social touch-points: Plan, manage and execute a Social content calendar in conjunction for ELC brands for travel related content- including visuals and copy in the brand aesthetic and voice - across regional and global social media platforms including Kakao, WeChat, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Line etc.

C. Target the CTC Travel Corridor across geographies: Collaborate with other regional teams to devise a plan for targeting Chinese Traveling Consumers, including local and international SNS platforms – such as WeChat and WeiBo.

D. Act as Travel Retail’s “social media reporter” for Korea and other regional markets, learning about competitor and related-industry upcoming, SNS-worthy product launches, models’ activities, ad shoots, media partnerships, press events, etc.. Track beauty trends/news with momentum on SNS and suggest new content ideas, reposts, retweets etc so brand is participating in relevant daily SNS conversations.

E. Digital media planning and analysis: Approach digital media from TR marketing perspective and build a result-driven media plan to maximize ROAS. Buy, execute and analyze media and implement learnings to other campaigns and brands. Closely work with stakeholders for best creative.

A. Explore opportunities in new media : Be up-to-dated on media trend and drive innovation by adapting new media and technologies as TR cosmetic market leader.

Core Competencies:

  • Passion for all things Social, not limited to Korea but regional and global as well.

  • In depth knowledge and experience for Korean SNS platforms, and reasonable understanding of the more popular regional and international platforms as well – such as Facebook, WeChat, Youtube, etc.

  • Strong ability to interpret and translate global brand strategies and equity – as well as beauty and lifestyle trends - into daily social media content.

  • Consumer-driven approach to lead brand effort in putting consumers, influencers and advocates at the center of its social media strategy.

  • Strong ability to set and measure media KPI

  • Good grasp in ecomm/m-comm environments – strategy and tactics driving online penetration and conversion.

  • Good communication and presentation skills (including English)

  • Pop culture savvy to identify trends and key influencers that we can target / follow within our social media outreach.



  • Graduate in Marketing or computer sciences

  • 5-6 years of experience in digital marketing with at least 3 years specifically in areas such social media marketing, community management etc

  • Work experience in Retail/Beauty/Fashion/Luxury industries

  • Active daily life in online and social media

  • Understanding of latest online and mobile technology

  • Well-versed in English; Mandarin a plus
