MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Spearheading the developments for the regional consumer/shopper/ digital research function in Asia Pacific together with the VP Corporate Marketing
Collaborating with the affiliate consumer insight representatives leveraging local insights into regional and global brand strategies
Implementing leading edge methodologies enabling the company to establish competitive advantage in the cosmetic industry
Support of the regional brand and corporate innovation teams, leveraging consumer insight into ongoing projects
Coaching the brand and corporate innovation teams how to use consumer / shopper / digital research methodologies in a most effective and efficient manner
Developing strategic insight synthesis to help inform and drive actions
(1) Developing and Integrating strategic and project related consumer/shopper /digital insights for the region and affiliates. The focus has to be on driving actions.
Setting up and executing the strategic consumer/shopper/digital understanding plan with the brand/innovation teams in alignment with the affiliate consumer insight reps.
Planning and executing consumer/shopper/digital research projects, integrating consumer insights into ongoing brand and innovation projects.
Developing a strong interface with the affiliate brand teams.
(2) Establishing Best Practice for ELC in area of using consumer understanding to driving business actions:
Developing leading edge consumer/shopper /digital research approaches with particular applications/added value to understand the cosmetic consumer/shopper in APAC.
Integrating the notion of “ inspiring the business” into ongoing projects
(3) Establishing an innovative consumer research agenda to unlock white spaces in the competitive landscape
The candidate is expected to visualize opportunities in the framework of existing product portfolios and service delivery to customers/consumers
The candidate should help the business unleashing new categories and geographical relevant consumer needs that lead into new concepts and product propositions.
(4) Supporting the regional and global CI organizations:
Developing and deploying insights into global and regional projects trying to leverage scale, aligning with other sub-regions
Aligning best proven practice with the global and regional organization
Collaboration to develop a world class CI organization for ELC
Implementing APAC methodology specifics into the regional and global CI agendas.
(5) Leadership for the CI function in APAC
Initiating and supporting the training and coaching of the business to use consumer/shopper insight effectively
Education the wider EL organization where we need to establish APAC specific approaches and organizational alignment
- University Degree, Marketing and/or Consumer Insight
- Minimum 10 years working experience in similar roles and responsibilities
