The APAC Regional Lead (Vendor Management Office) is responsible for the day-to-day governance and performance management of all vendors in APAC region, contracts, licensing, audits, and compliance. This highly visible position has primary accountability for developing and maintaining effective partner relationships with strategic technology vendors and ensuring the original goals and expectations of the relationship business case are maximized within the APAC region.
This position will be the single point of contact in APAC for a subset of our strategic vendors. The APAC Regional Lead will act as the principle liaison between the vendor and internal groups including the lines of business and the APAC IT leadership team. This role will manage changes in demand resulting from evolving business strategies.
The ability to articulate and manage the integration of IT vendors and recommend improvements to quality to ensure a seamless end-to-end delivery model is an important requirement. The APAC Regional Lead will provide support on new opportunities, take an active role in regional bids and support performance/utilization and governance. Working closely with the Category and other Regional VMO Leads.
Vendor Management Office - Regional Lead - APAC
Managing all Technology Vendors within our Eco-System in APAC
Overseeing and tracking performance, maintenance, warranties, compliance and ensure proper management of the contract pipeline
Negotiating / Managing Service Levels, Licensing, Utilization, and Hardware/Software as a Service Agreements.
Ensuring robust performance management around up-time, Issue/Incident, availability, and licensing.
Building strong relationships with Internal and external IT service groups, and other ITIL processes, in particular Contract management, Supplier Management, Change Management, Incident Management and of course IT Asset Management.
Planning Service Reviews and facilitating meetings.
Identification of stakeholders, customers, key users.
Establishing and setting requirements for tools to underpin the while ensuring proper contract management.
VENDOR RELATIONSHIP AND PERFORMANCE DEVELOPMENT:
Accountable for developing and driving annual and continuous contract improvement plans for assigned supplier contracts, through collaboration with other Vendor Relationship Managers, other key internal stakeholders as well as vendor stakeholders.
Understand the value of contractual relationships to all parties and use this knowledge to generate ideas for improvement of process, service and relationships.
Act as a key interface with other resources within the Vendor Management Office, the wider internal organization, and the Vendor organizations exercising influence and persuasion as needed to build relationships and accomplish the objectives.
RELATIONSHIP GOVERNANCE AND ADMINISTRATION
Actively engages with both the internal GIS stakeholders and vendor to understand relationship governance, engagement and authorization processes are fit for purpose and understood.
Establish, improve and ensure adherence to all documented contract management processes
Source, implement and continually improve Vendor Governance and Contract Management tools.
Chair/attend regular commercial governance meetings with vendor and customer to provide support for commercial aspects
This individual must demonstrate the ability to assume leadership and project management responsibilities for influencing change across a diverse range of stakeholders.
College degree in Information Systems or Technology/Business related field
Minimum of 8 years’ experience managing vendor analytics and implementing Vendor related processes and procedures.
Prior experience managing IT vendors (preferably in APAC region)
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple vendor partners
Experience working with geographically dispersed team & customer base
Ability to lead, influence & motivate colleagues/partners
Ability to think strategically and communicate effectively in a fast-moving, rapidly changing environment
Strong record of driving operational improvements to support business strategies.
Specific experience and thought leadership in maximizing productivity through theuse of SharePoint tools and methods.
Expertise in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio and SharePoint
