We are looking for a talented Website Project Manager with a proven track record to join our team on a 12 month contract basis as we undertake an exciting re-design across all our Jo Malone websites.

Reporting to the Global Online Executive Director, the Website Project Manager will manage the full end to end delivery of the full website re-design roll out across all of the Jo Malone London websites to all markets and territories. This candidate needs to have a successful track record of Agile project management, excellent cross functional and stakeholder management and advanced technical Ecommerce knowledge. This role will manage the day to day contact with any external agencies, developers and provide feedback and communication of project milestones and timelines to the Jo Malone London 360 digital business.

The Website Project Manager will be collaborating with internal and external teams to identify and implement best practice eCommerce strategies across all aspects of the site. This individual will be tasked with driving these strategies and insights through the design and development process. This role will also manage the coordination of UX User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process and usability testing alongside third party agencies.

The successful candidate will be professional, articulate and friendly with outstanding communication skills. They will need to be able to hit the ground running and be able to understand and challenge technical deliverables across all aspects of the website (both technical and creative.) In addition to the re-design, this individual will also help project manage all development projects that are currently in scope until the re-design briefs, functional specifications and timelines are finalised and the project kicks-off.

Key Responsibilities

  • End to End project Management of the Web Redesign from start to finish.

  • Creation and full understanding of briefs, technical specifications, project scopes, timelines and project trackers.

  • Sole owner of project management tools such as JIRA.

  • Create and manage the Web re-design timeline and milestones associated with the roll out in real time and ensure all milestones are met to achieve launch date.

  • Collate, organise and chase assets, content and collateral associated with the web build.

  • Implementation of Agile methodologies.

  • Communicating and implementing best practice UX and design to stakeholders including but not limited to the Home Page, Single Product Pages (SPP), Multiple Product Pages (MPP), Site Search, Check Out and alternative payment methods, Merchandising, Site Filters, Mega Nav, Site Navigation and SEO and have site optimisation and customer experience at the forefront of all recommendations and implementation.

  • Develop support documentation including risk logs and highlight potential risks or issues. Act proactively to resolve these risks and issues.

  • Key stakeholder and cross-functional management.

  • UAT testing and experience in putting together UAT testing plans across multiple devices.

Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of E-commerce best practice across all aspects of transactional retail websites and the technical infrastructure/ecosystem of websites.

  • Proven project management experience of complex mobile responsive Retail website roll outs across a number of territories.

  • Complex technical knowledge of retail website roll outs across a number of regions and territories and best practice code implementation of these sites.

  • Proven track record in launching multi-lingual and multi-locale sites using third party language agencies on well-known eCommerce platforms such as Drupal.

  • Understanding technical implementation of third party APIs where necessary.

  • High familiarity with content management systems and HTML/CSS.

  • Use of project management tools such as JIRA and mapping out simple but effective work flow processes within these tools.

  • Implementation of Agile methodologies and managing timelines and deliverables

  • Ability to work well under pressure

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Successful stakeholder, third party and cross functional management.

  • An interest in design and web development with 5 years proven capability of managing projects in this area

The ideal candidate for this role is a senior e-commerce project manager with strong communication skills, a sharp eye for detail and advanced technical skills. Experience in rolling out complex localised websites for high profile retailers is essential.

The candidate must have strong Ecommerce acumen, sharp observational and communication skills and must be able to work in partnership with a wide variety of stakeholders across our teams and external partners. The successful candidate will be positive, proactive and have a can do attitude. They will be personable and friendly but have a rational outlook.
