Sales & Retail Operations Director
The Director, Sales & Retail Operations owns the Retail & Sales Strategy managing the overall operating budget for all MAC retail stores throughout UK & ROI.
Responsible for retailer relationships and ensures the accounts are properly maintained and you also be responsible for administering store policies & procedures, and ensures compliance.
You will also oversee all training schedule elements and store level documentation.
Responsible for implementation and deployment of brand and corporate initiatives and implements strategy for increasing sales and net operating profit in region.
Strategic Planning and Execution - To develop and execute strategies to drive MAC retail and net sales
Leadership - Lead, motivate and develop the National Account team, the Field Sales team and the sales & retail operations administration function and commercial education team
Budget Management - Monitor store budgets, manage expenses, and process payments & develop, manage and deliver sales budgets; gross, net and retail sales budgets including demo costs.
Program and Service Management - Responsible for all vendor relationships & account maintenance, including quality assurance, cost savings & best services and manage relations & monitor performance of contracted service vendors to ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met.
Communication - To be a key member of the MAC management team, establishing and maintaining good working relationships with other internal departments – especially Marketing, Education, Visual Merchandising, Communications and Finance.
Ensure corporate policies and procedures, as outlined in the BOOK, are applied consistently throughout MAC retail locations.
Manage Store Technology Systems and POS functionality to optimize sales and minimize system downtime within the retail store environment
Extensive experience in commercial/sales responsibility roles, including Free standing Retail Store.
Proven successful track record of leading a successful Sales team, and meeting retail and net sales plans at National Sales Manager level.
Must be strategic and executional.
Possess outstanding numerical and commercial acumen, strong negotiation skills and proven ability to lead, develop and inspire others to succeed.
Must be able to accommodate routine travel schedule (45% of job) inclusive of 4 days on-site for new store construction & renovation & organize 10 hour days at turnover/renovation/overnight relocations.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment, multi-task, embrace change, be flexible, & supervise situations following the company’s philosophy.
Must be available 24 hours, 365 day.
Required Driving License and capability to operate vehicle.
Excellent communication skills, and follow through, with a sense of urgency.
Working experience in Retail Operating Systems.
