Position Title: Assistant Retail Manager FSS

Reports to: Senior Retail Manager

Position Summary:

The Assistant Retail Manager is responsible for supporting

the Retail Sales Manager to manage the total operation of their Boutique and

for the effective management of the Boutique in the Retail Sales Managers

absence. They are responsible for achieving and exceeding Sales, Productivity

and Service goals through the ongoing training and development of each member

of their team. They will maximize profits through Stock, Cash handling and

Expenses management. The Assistant Retail Manager is also responsible for

developing strong working relationships with their Retail partners and looking

for opportunities to develop their business under the guidance of the Retail

Sales Manager, Retail Operations Manager and Marketing team. As a Tom Ford

London Brand Ambassador you are responsible for adhering to and setting the

example for all brand expectations regarding Customer Service, image and

professional standards.

Key Responsibilities:

MAXIMISE SALES PERFORMANCE AND PRODUCTIVITY

Personally demonstrate excellent

selling skills, acting as a role model for team members

Personally demonstrate the Customer

service standards and ensure that the team consistently follows it to build

sales e.g. – names & addresses, OCT capture %, consultations etc

As directed by the Retail Sales

Manager, communicate targets and incentives to team members to motivate and

enthuse them

As directed by the Retail Sales Manager

monitor individual team members’ performance and review their progress

towards their sales goals with them to ensure retail sales targets are

achieved

Create and organize events on

counter to drive business, educating teams on product focus for theme of

event / activity

Monitor competitor products,

activity and results and discuss with the Retail Sales Manager ways to take

on the competition and build the business

Monitor stock levels and key lines

highlighting problems to the Retail Sales Manager or in his/her absence, to

senior management agreeing action to ensure there is adequate stock to

achieve sales targets,

TEAM MANAGEMENT

Participate in the coaching and

development of team members in line with the Store Manager’s guidance,

reviewing Specialists performance in relation to their goals

Delegate tasks to the team members

in Retail Sales Manager’s absence or as directed by him/her

Ensure the team meets or exceeds

the Company’s customer service standards

Act as a personal role model to

team members through own conduct, appearance and selling skills

Ensure excellent standards of

timekeeping and attendance are maintained by the team liaising with the Store

Manager to follow up on and deal promptly with problems

COMMUNICATION AND WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Communicate regularly and effectively with

Retail Sales Manager keeping him/her informed of activities and working together

to resolve difficulties

In the Retail Sales Manager’s absence,

conduct regular communication sessions with the team to keep them informed of

targets, initiatives and activities that impact on their ability to perform

their jobs to the best standard

Demonstrate support for the Retail

Sales Manager in all actions

PROMOTE THE IMAGE OF THE COMPANY

Ensure all members of the team maintain

consistently excellent standards of personal grooming

Ensure the Store is merchandised to comply

with the Tom Ford image and standards at all times

Ensure the counters, testers and the store

generally are kept clean and tidy at all times to reflect the Tom Ford image

Ensure problems concerning personal

standards, hygiene and merchandising are followed up and prompt action is

taken to address them liaising with the Retail Sales Manager to agree actions

ADMINISTRATION

Complete Weekly/ Monthly Business

Report and all paperwork accurately and submit in accordance with deadlines

Run all aspects of administration

in the Retail Sales Managers absence

Qualifications

  • Proven retail experience preferably within beauty and fragrance

  • The ability to provide inspirational, authentic and personalized customer service

  • Previous supervisory experience with a proven track record of coaching/mentoring others to achieve sales and customer service targets

  • Retail operations experience including inventory management and cash reconciliation

  • Ability to work retail hours including days, nights, weekends and special events in a fast-paced work environment

  • Previous experience with retail point-of-sale software

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
