Position Summary

The Engineering Administrative Assistant will have the opportunity to be involved in various duties supporting the Manufacturing & Industrial Engineering department. The duties will include data entry, generating reports, transit testing activities, logistical parameter data collection and measurement, laser importing, fulfilling courier and shipping requisitions, coordinating sampling/ components to support line trials and evolve working with site engineers in supporting their job requirements.

The Engineering assistant will report into the Manufacturing Engineering Manager for Canadian operations. They will work in a dynamic environment and have to support up to 4-8 engineers at a time and work in collaboration within different departments.

Key Responsibilities

1) Various Admin tasks including

a. Reports in SAP and Access, Excel

b. Courier requests

c. Supply requisitions

d. Measurements and weights on shipments

e. Completing transit tests- must be able to lift objects up to 30 lbs

f. Entering data into various systems

g. Inputting information into equipment

h. Emails

i. Filling out reports

j. Reviewing data

k. Project work

2) Ability to travel between all 3 plants.

  • Motivated and willing to learn, results driven, organized, multi-tasker who can prioritize requests, excellent communication skills, ability to work with minimal supervision and strong analytical and math skills.

  • Technical Skills - proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)

Qualifications

Skills Requirements

  • Post secondary education completed

  • Minimum 1 year experience or experience as a Engineering Co-Op Student

  • Ability to travel between all 3 plants (local)

  • Motivated and willing to learn, results driven, organized, multi-tasker who can prioritize requests, excellent communication skills, ability to work with minimal supervision and strong analytical and math skills.

  • Technical Skills - proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
