Position Summary

  • Perform environmental monitoring, including watersampling, ambient air sampling, compressed air sampling and equipment swabbingwithin the manufacturing plants.

  • Identify hygiene gaps and risks to product.

  • Train on the spot for any actions that can becorrected immediately. Review with Manager for any gaps that are larger inscope and work with Manager to develop training program.

  • Perform sample preparation and testing of rawmaterials, mass and finished goods following existing SOP’s within establishedtimelines.

  • Adhere to existing lab processes and perform testingand documentation through coordination with microbiologist team.

  • Work well with microbiologist team members, contributeto team decisions, share ideas, and make suggestions for process improvements. Actas backup to microbiologist role as needed.

  • Build good relationships,communicate and interact with internal (QA) and external (Operations)customers.



independently: environmental testing within the manufacturing areas,

including water sampling, ambient air testing, compressed air testing and

equipment swabbing at scheduled intervals.

daily microbiological testing of OTC and non-OTC raw materials, mass and

finished goods against set product specifications in support of the supply

chain requirements.

involved in SOP review and revisions, change controls, deviations and CAPA’s.


proficient at using all related laboratory testing equipment following

existing SOP’s, including Autoclave, Masterclave, AutoPlater.


to utilize Celsis and Vitek when backing up for microbiologist is required.



records following GDP and GMP requirements, including disposition in SAP.


all health and safety and GMP guidelines are adhered to at all times.


Laboratory cleaning maintenance as per schedule and as needed.

Education : College Diploma in

Science with micro lab experience

Experience :

Experience in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, or food

industry manufacturing desirable
