Set-up, troubleshoot and operate manufacturing and plant support equipment. Support other areas of the business as required / assigned. Complete PM’s as assigned.


Repairs: Production-filling equipment, packing equipment conveyors, material handling

  • Distribution: conveyors, case sealer, material handling.

  • Technical Services: kettles, process equipment.

  • Facilities: compressors, material handling.

  • Plumping, carpentry, furniture assembly, installations, welding, equipment rigging and moving, sprinkler system.

  • Adapt new equipment to integrate with exciting lines or processes, modify existing machinery to enhance speed or kettles, and process equipment.

  • Machining: using lathes, drill pressing.

  • Sourcing parts through catalogues, suppliers OTM dealers, manufacturers, arranging for delivery or pickup issuing purchase requisitions for all departments in both facilities.

  • Electrical troubleshooting repair.

Health and Safety

  • Proactively identify and resolve safety concerns

  • Observe and conform to all corporate EH&S guidelines and procedures

  • Adhere to established Lockout/Tag out Programs

  • Actively participate and evaluate PSR’s


  • Maintain clean work environment on the production floor and within the maintenance shop.

  • Conform to all ergonomic assessment requirements

  • Actively participate and support the Canadian Operations 5S Program


Education: Industrial Millwright license preferred

Experience: 3 years of related experience preferred.


  • Technical: Proficiency in the following: Shop Machines and Equipment, Pumps and Piping, Power Transmission, Welding and Rigging, Technical documents/drawings, Hydraulics and Pneumatics, Lubrication, Automated Equipment/Basic Industrial controls/Basic robotics, Knowledge of safety responsibilities (legal and company procedures)

  • Advanced mechanical skills (i.e. ability to analyze mechanical breakdowns and arrive at appropriate solutions), skill in using machine and hand tools, equipment and measuring devises

  • Computer skills – ability to set up and adjust electronically controlled machinery and equipment

  • Communication / Interpersonal: English language proficiency; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to resolve issues in a tactful and diplomatic manner, communicate expectations and outline maintenance requirements / train both technical and non-technical personnel

Other: Knowledge of company’s production systems, procedures and QA standards; Team player, self-starter, and a customer service orientation

Testing: Candidates will be required to pass a written mechanical aptitude test, a personnel test and a practical mechanical test to be considered for the role.
