Key Roles and Responsibilities:

This highly visible position has primary accountability for developing and maintaining effective partner relationships with strategic technology vendors and ensuring the original goals and expectations of the relationship business case are maximized. This position will be the single point of contact for a subset of our strategic outsourced service partners in the Infrastructure functional vertical. This executive will act as the principle liaison between the vendor and internal groups including the lines of business and the IT leadership team. This position leads a matrixed team which includes Service Performance and Contracts management functions. This executive is responsible for ensuring that the vendor meets or exceeds the contracted services, measures performance against operational Service Level Agreements, (SLA) and coordinates vendor activity to meet current and future operational requirements and project needs in alignment with GIS and Corporate goals. The Strategic Vendor Executive is responsible for an evolving relationship through the term of the agreement including increases and decreases in the scope of services, on-boarding of new vendors and the transition of solutions into the company's business. This executive will manage changes in demand resulting from evolving business strategies.


●As primary point of contact and overall account owner, the executive must build and maintain effective working relationships to both internal and external stakeholders. Prime facilitator for engagements between various levels of outsourced service delivery providers with ELC legal, Indirect Procurement, Business Relationship Managers and Service Tower Leads. Ensure continuous improvement of services provided by vendor under management.

●Develop, prioritize and maintain various plans including: account management, service improvement and commercial resolution. Participate in the mapping of the assigned vendor(s) into the overall vendor ecosystem and ensure these vendors engage and embrace the company's multi-vendor model. Engage with vendor to populate and maintain vendor profile database and dashboard.

●Develop, maintain and execute supplier governance package including: face off chart, meeting cadence, project portfolio, change management and best practices. Drive the dispute resolution process and enforce root cause analysis through process with operations teams. Communicate findings and improvements to GIS Leadership Team.

●Manage cost and risk in support of original business case. Seek and negotiate reductions where possible and participate in budget process.

●Monitor vendor performance against goals via supplier management, contract management, financial management & governance tools and related reporting methodologies (dashboards, Key Performance Indicators, (KPI's) and SLA reporting) and initiative corrective action.

●Represent ELC position as the customer. Vendor advocate for new business and innovation. Participate in vendor selections and negotiations with Legal and Indirect Procurement

This individual must demonstrate the ability to assume leadership and project management responsibilities for influencing change across a diverse range of stakeholders.

  • College degree in Information Systems or Technology/Business related field

  • 8 experience managing vendors in an outsourced environment focusing on Infrastructure support.

  • Strong record of driving operational improvements to support business strategies.

  • Specific experience and thought leadership in maximizing productivity through the use of SharePoint tools and methods.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple vendor partners

  • Experience working with geographically dispersed team & customer base

  • Ability to lead, influence & motivate colleagues/partners

  • Ability to think strategically and communicate effectively in a fast-moving, rapidly changing environment

  • Strong record of driving operational improvements to support business strategies.

  • Knowledge of IT Infrastructure and Applications.

  • Knowledge of ITIL best practices.

  • Proven ability to work in collaboration with external service providers, building and developing effective service provider relationships

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate at various levels within the organization and with external parties

  • Ability to establish and document processes, guidelines and policies

  • Expertise in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio and SharePoint
