Designing and delivering digital, software and BIA solutions with quality and consistency is a key element of the organization’s strategy and commitment to the business user community. The primary purpose of this job is executing the, Quality Assurance strategy, standards, methods and processes that ensure we are delivering solutions with quality and consistency. This includes leading testing teams in the regions or who are part of the quality testing service teams provided by our strategic partners.

  • The QA Manager reports to the Head of Global Applications Quality Assurance is responsible for leading and managing testing service teams supporting our projects and support teams.

  • The manager also supports the rolling out of quality assurance process across the Global Applications Solutions organization.

  • They manage vendor SLAs and ensure outsourced testing activities are performed to the appropriate standards

  • Ensure development teams are following the defined process and adhering to development standards

  • The role will ensure we consistently execute an appropriate SDLC (e.g. Agile and Waterfall) and that quality procedures are appropriately incorporated.

  • The role supports the QA goal that quality is embedded in our digital delivery strategy

  • The QA manager role also helps to measure, report and drive a culture of continuous improvement using data driven techniques

  • [CSV/Regulation experience]: Ensures that ELC adheres to GAMP & 21CFR Part 11 requirements against all IT implementations, including software and hardware

  • [CSV/Regulation experience]: Manages validation requirements and documentation for proper tracking & compliance reporting

  • The role executes, communicates and supports the quality strategy including methods, tools and services

  • Ensuring that all required testing deliverables are created including testing approach, testing scenarios, conditions, expected results, test scripts, and testing control sheets

  • Executing quality review cycles including informal review, formal review, testing sign-off, and quality assurance review

  • Collaborating with all relevant stakeholders including service transition and operations

  • Facilitating automated testing throughout the test lifecycle, embed risk based testing, and reuse of test scripts

  • Managing test environment and test data

  • Ensuring processes are in adherence with the new services provisioning and supporting key processes updates

  • Collaborating with process towers to ensure the delivered solutions adhere to all polices

  • Contributing to the development and execution of a strategy for early defects identification

  • [CSV/Regulation experience]: Approves validation plans & summaries as well as Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ)


  • Senior Applications leader with strong management skills. Must have experience with the quality function including testing services, quality methods & tools, standards and quality assurance

  • Knowledge of testing methodologies and standards

  • Information Technology background within a Quality/Regulated environment (preferably within SAP)

  • Understanding of automated test tools

  • Knowledge of quality standards and procedures

  • Experience in testing team and vendor management experience

  • Experience of having worked for a similar large scale organization in a highly matrix managed environment

  • Computer System Validation (CSV) experience is strongly welcomed but not required

  • Minimum Education level: College degree, Masters Preferred

  • Minimum Years of Experience:5 years

  • % Travel Time:10-20%

  • Licenses or Certifications:ITIL preferred
