Provide finance and accounting services to LBF/Project Foundation including development of annual budget, multi-year project plan, and monthly estimate; monthly accounting close, expense monitoring, and accruals; supervise and coordinate SOW/PO process; provide inputs and support to the value realization process as required. Provide reporting, analysis and insights to LBF/PF management for action, monitoring of key metrics, development and implementation of tools/applications in support of continuous improvements; automate, improve and make processes efficient. Also includes direct interaction senior executives and senior finance executives.

This position is based in Melville, NY and will require travel to NYC at least 1 time per week.

  • Position is responsible for: monthly closing, estimate process and productivity reporting, analyzing and reporting the financial data for monthly presentation to management adhering to deadlines and required deliverables

  • Develop, coordinate and fully understand the annual budget and multi-year plan for LBF/PF departmental costs

  • Facilitate, execute monthly estimate interacting with project members to understanding spend activities, shifts in timing and comprehensive reporting

  • Manage closing processes including expense monitoring, accrual requirements, reconciliations; analysis of results and comprehensive reporting

  • Prepare monthly global departmental analyses to track cost center spending versus budget and estimate; provide variance explanations monthly, and in depth quarterly.

  • Research and resolve inquiries

  • Adhere to deadlines and processes

  • Adherence and enforcement of US GAAP, corporate policies and SOX compliance

  • In conjunction with team members, provide for continuous improvement in processes ensuring proper controls and realization of efficiencies

  • Liaison with internal and external auditors on quarterly and annual audits

  • Prepare and provide detail review of monthly and quarterly reports (Monthly Performance Review, Budget Presentation Package, etc.) provided to Senior Management for Individual and Total Functional Reporting

  • Develop, monitor and report metrics and KPIs providing analysis and insights, as applicable

  • Special projects and ad-hoc analysis as requested

  • Perform Balance Sheet account reconciliations, account analysis, and other related documents/schedules

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting, CPA/Masters a plus.

  • 5 years of Finance or Accounting, with process reengineering and project management experience.

  • Excellent analytical capabilities to translate data into Executive level insights and metrics

  • Advanced Excel, SAP, Hyperion (SmartView) skills a must.

  • Ability to work/analyze/build efficient analyses and reports.

  • Experience in leading, aligning, and engaging on team vision.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills required, including direct interaction with Senior Management.

  • Ability to work under pressure of tight deadlines and multitask.

  • Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs and direction of Senior Management.

  • Excellent organization, writing and listening skills
