Responsible for managing (i) the reporting, analysis and commentary of the Company’s Actual internal and external consolidated financial statements (ii) US Government Census reporting (iii) provide customer service related to reporting and analysis (iv) Reporting and analytic process improvements and enhancements (v) provide accounting support (vi) manage staff and related assignments and (vii) special accounting and reporting projects as required.

provides support to affiliates to assure compliance of consistent data to drive reporting integrity
maintains and monitors internal control processes in support of SOX requirements for all areas of responsibility
is required to work and collaborate with leadership and peers throughout the Company
assists with supporting our external auditors relating to reporting and application of various accounting topics as appropriate
communicates with multi-functional teams throughout the organization and manages and coordinates the analytics of the consolidated financial statements
At this level, day to day tasks require the person to work independently under the guidance of the director, able to make appropriate decisions, be self directing and managed. This position is always tasked with using superior judgment and integrity to carry out all directives relating to US GAAP and accounting matters. The position manages and guides the staff to accomplish such objectives.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
30 % (i) Internal and External Reporting, Analysis and Commentary – responsible for managing the reporting, analysis and commentary related to the Actual results of the Company’s operations including, but is not limited to, providing the external reporting team with financial results in a timely manner in support of SEC Reporting (Quarterly Reports on Form 10Q, Annual Reports on Form 10K, other SEC reporting) and providing reports, analysis, and commentary on a monthly, quarterly and ad hoc basis to internal Executive management including the CEO, CFO, VP Investor Relations, etc. This includes preparing the analysis and commentary of the Statement of Operations, Balance Sheet and Cash Flows.
10 % (ii) Manage US Government Census reporting requirements providing guidance and review to prepare.
15 % (iii) Provide customer service related to reporting and analysis to executives, brands, affiliates and corporate groups, as required.
15 % (iv) Reporting and analytic Process improvements and enhancements – manage, implement and coordinate identified continued enhancements of the related reporting and analytic processes and be a contributor to any design updates including improving reporting and business intelligence identifying and implementing opportunities to drive value creation providing judgment, analysis, innovation to such enhancements including for example Segment and Channel reporting, Online reporting, use of hierarchy structures to drive reporting requirements, in support of executive management requirements and strive for a best-in-class reporting and analytics
10 % (v) Provide accounting support for various topics raised by the business and team coordinating with technical accounting as appropriate
10 % (vi) Manage staff and related assignments assuring accurate and timely completion
10 % (vii) Special accounting and reporting projects as required
University degree in Accounting.
CPA required, MBA a plus.
Hyperion CPM Systems experience required, with knowledge of ERP Systems.
Report Development and Maintenance management.
Strong technical (US GAAP, IFRS, SEC reporting) and analytical skills.
Organizational Awareness - having sufficient knowledge of the organization to identify problems and opportunities.
Analytical skills including the ability to analyze complex technical accounting requirements including US GAAP and statutory requirements.
Ability to reach conclusions independently analyzing alternatives.
Strong writing skills in support of analytical commentary.
Strong communication skills, must be able to express ideas effectively in individual and group situations.
Able to interact and communicate effectively with Senior Management.
Strong Inter-Personal & Staff Development skills including:
Individual Leadership/Influencing - inspiring and guiding others toward goal achievement.
Teamwork/Collaboration - working effectively with teams and work groups.
Strong Excel, PowerPoint, Word Skills.
International travel required up to 20% when appropriate.
Travel to NYC office should be expected.
Extended working hours, as required.
