The Senior manager of Business Intelligence SAP-BI development and delivery will be an experienced BI professional with at least 3 - 5 years of SAP-BI development and 3 years of technical management of developers and projects. This role will report into the Executive director ELC BI delivery and partner with the BI Architect(s), and Customer Engagement/Analyst team to develop enterprise class business intelligence and analytical solutions that utilizes SAP Business Objects, BW, and HANA technologies. This position will provide technical direction in the analysis, design, development, documenting, testing, deployment, maintenance, and enhancement of current design and enable new innovative solutions within the SAP-BI environment. The successful candidate will have the technical expertise and communication skills needed for analysis of complex issues, evaluation and selection of existing and new SAP technologies, and leadership of cross-functional teams to meet or exceed users’ requirements.

He/she will initiate and lead or oversee (while led by a team member) global and regional BIA projects as well as continuous improvement efforts

In this context, he/she must be comfortable working with cross-functional and cross-region stakeholders to translate business problems into actionable analytical solutions, from a requirement as well as coordination and governance point of view. He/she also needs to be able to drive change in all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

  • Validate and translate business requirements, high level design and master data requirements into detail SAP-BI solutions

  • Coordinate testing, cutover, rollout, and transition to production support of key SAP-BI deliverables

  • Manage the develop of Business Objects reports, dashboard and analytical solutions

  • Work with the broader BI team identify process, data model, and technical design improvements to advance BI reporting and usage across business functions

  • Coordinate with architects and production support to plan and execute release, support packages implementation, and version upgrades.

  • Define level of effort and provide resources estimation to support infrastructure efforts with basis / production support for activities such as; infrastructure maintenance, operating system patch, upgrades, and planning server refresh efforts.

  • Help develop, improve, and promote SAP BW/BO standards, processes, and procedures for consistent execution and administration

  • Effective at managing outsourcing relationships and related support model with key strategic partners

  • Define and maintain project timelines for the delivery of SAP BI related technical and Functional services; enhancements, business initiatives and projects.

  • Manage and plan project budgets, including controlling expenses and keeping the annual budget at a project level.

  • Manage third party consultants both on-shore and offshore to successfully deliver projects

  • Measure individuals’ success, properly utilize talent, resolve conflicts, and generate a culture for the teams to thrive

  • Minimum Years of Experience: 7

  • Minimum Education Level: B.A. / B.S in Computer Science or related

  • Licenses or Certifications: SAP BW on HANA, Business Objects Suite preferred
