Position Summary:

This new position will leverage the most recent techniques and training in plant science and technology to drive innovation that:

eads to a continual stream of breakthrough technologies , measurement science and products:

pro-actively responds to rapid changes in regulation and link with all the main groups involved: and

keeps us continually scouting for and assessing emerging opportunities in the natural ingredients arena for beauty care.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Development of breakthrough technologies and products as well as breakthrough concepts by appying the newest advanbces in naturally derived ingredients and natural approaches to processing, product design and manufacturing

  • Proactive responsiveness to help drive reformulation efforts for regulation changes and credentialing

  • Shift our external innovation from a transaction process to breakthrough thinking with 3rd party naturals experts and suppliers to deliver new and commercializable innovations to support the brands.

  • Enhance the throughput and testing responsiveness with new skills to bring speed and impact to oiur innovation program

  • Assist head of Skin Biology & BioActives in defining the strategy for developing new technologies that deliver sustained benefits in skin and scalp.

  • Help with strategic partners collaborations (ex: IFF and others)

  • Help for scientific credentialing (writing, presentations, …) and represent ELC as expert in the science of naturals

  • Keep updated in new research in biological actives and identify & assess emerging innovation opportunities as well as new collaborators


  • Ph.D. in Plant Science a plus

  • Minimum 4 years relateable experience

  • Knowledge in Biology and Chemistry

  • Experience in leading projects

  • Experience in building relationships with key players

  • Experience in regulatory compliance

  • Ability to work independently and in team and excellent oral/written communication skills
