Director of Artistry and Education will lead, inspire, develop and retain Bobbi

Brown artists in LATAM and US Hispanic markets.

Ensure artistic leadership voice and vision is present in all areas of

business. Be an ambassador of Bobbi

Brown to editors, consumers and retail makeup artists, by sharing Bobbi Brown

philosophy and leading events as featured makeup artist. Ensure that Global

Programs are being utilized in LATAM markets and create regionally relevant

programs when necessary. Coach and

inspire Bobbi Brown education managers, coordinators, and makeup artists to support the business needs, maximize MUA productivity and achieve

brand financial targets.


After 6 months in role

  • Demonstrate exceptional strength inArtistry and hold Bobbi Brown Certifications

  • Master, exemplify, and share Bobbi’smakeup philosophy and brand standards

  • Achieve Featured Artist event salestargets and execute seasonal event formats

  • Drive sales through artistry, focusing onstrengthening the artistry skill level of artists, to ensure Bobbi’s techniques areunderstood and consistently demonstrated

  • Drive sales through education, focusing onstrengthening facilitation and leadership skills of educators and theproduct knowledge, artistry and selling skills of educators and artists.

  • Assessment of market talent andlearning needs. Timely feedback and recommended action for improvement.

  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with GlobalArtistry and Education, NY office, NA and LATAM teams

Scope of Work:

  • 50% of time as editorialspokesperson and featured artist for the LATAM region and US HispanicMarket

  • 40% of time dedicated to artistryand education leadership and development

  • 10% of time for administrativeduties and scheduling

Event Execution

  • Serve as face of Bobbi Brown duringevents, exemplify highest standard of customer care and translate best inclass artistry technique into sales.

  • Understand and act as a role model, showcasingBobbi’s brand philosophies, face charting, customer engagement andartistry techniques to strengthen adoption of/ sustainable change inartistry and service practices by MUA

  • Host Pre Event training for retailartists and freelance artists supporting event, presenting event focus,specific artistry, selling and service Pro Tips along with Sales Goal, SPHand product pairings.

  • Summarize and communicate results ofin-store events post event with key learnings, MUA skill assessment andrecommendations for future development.

  • Evaluate special event results andprovide recommendations to regional management to evolve Bobbi Brown eventservices and elevate client experience

  • Partner with regional management toensure right events are programmed in appropriate doors

  • Participate in PR and ArtistryDepartment Events as needed.


  • Lead Artistry and Education teams inLATAM region

  • Ensure Artistic voice is present forall strategic areas of business, education programs, and orientationprograms in LATAM.

  • Maintain open communication withGlobal Artistry and Education Department via status calls and email

  • Communicate and collaborate withGlobal Artistry and Education, NY office, NA and LATAM teams

  • Develop strong hospitality andselling skills across LATAM and US Hispanic Markets

  • Develop and execute Career Paths inLATAM. Identify talent forsuccession planning

Artistry Development: Self & Others

  • Bobbi’s voice for LATAM region.Ensure all programs and directives follow Bobbi’s vision for Artistry.

  • Evaluate Top Artists and Educatorsto ensure skill level and consistency

  • Conduct Artist Certification foreligible artists as needed.

  • Strengthen implementation of Bobbi’sartistry techniques by leading creative inspiration and development of allartists

  • Proven excellence in makeup artistryand model/ personally demonstrate expert artistry techniques. Exhibitcommitment to further mastery of new skills and sharing of learning.

  • Participate in NY Fashion Week,Artistry and PR events upon request

Education/Training Development

  • Responsible for execution andcohesion of programs across LATAM

  • Ensure that Global Programs arebeing utilized in LATAM markets and create regionally relevant programswhen necessary.

  • Lead, plan and execute RegionalBootcamps twice per year unless Global Bootcamp happens

  • Work closely with Brand Managers andEducation Managers/Coordinators to plan for a collective and comprehensivestrategy for Makeup Artist training within region

  • Develop Education leaders toincrease skill level and strengthen their ability to lead in theirindividual markets

  • Analyze retail results and suggestspecific training strategies when needed

  • Encourage and facilitateintra-regional exchange of training ideas to ensure consistent superiortraining objectives with specific focus on Hispanic Consumers

Budget Management

  • Manage the assigned education budgetfor the territory throughout the season ensuring an efficient use of fundsto support training and event needs and uphold Bobbi Brown brand image.

  • Plan for Bootcamps, Educationmeetings, market visits and Regional team staff within budget.

  • Adhere to personal T&E budget inaccordance with ELC corporate policies.

  • Organize all expense receipts andsubmit expense reports through GERS on a monthly basis



Job-Related Skills

  • Collegedegree or 8 years of relevant work experience including retail salesexperience, preference of minimum 5 years with makeup artistry brand

  • Fluent inEnglish and Spanish. Portuguese aplus.

  • SuperiorArtistry skills

  • Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills

  • Strategicthinking ability.

  • Strongability to mentor and develop others

  • Strongpresence on camera. Proven abilityto engage with the media.

  • Abilityto handle multiple priorities in a fast paced multi-dimensionalenvironment

  • Provenexperience in public speaking, learning program design and facilitation.

  • Advancedproficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Abilityto travel frequently internationally and nationally. About 60-75% a year.


  • The position requires moderate physical effort.

  • Training equipment bags, (weighing 50lbs when loaded)must be lifted and transferred to and from vehicles and venues.

  • During training, packing and unpacking of materials isrequired. There may also be moving and setting up of chairs, tables andfurniture needed.

  • Maintain and transport own makeup kit.

  • Travel by air and car is required, possibly forextended periods of time.

  • At counters, one may stand nearly 8 hours.

studio, hotel, restaurant or conference room, makeup room environment, back

stage fashion shows, home parties at client’s home.
