JOB SUMMARY: Ensure quality performance of Beauty Advisors in Travel Retailing

Division by developing, creating, adapting and implementing effective training

strategies that will educate and motivate Beauty Advisors, Counter Managers,

and Floor Sales Personnel in the field to sell Estée Lauder products and

proudly represent the Brand. (TRD) Partner

with commercial team to leverage Brand Education Coodinator presence in store

for Education and Events to drive retail by developing and working with Beauty

Advisors and Counter Managers.


  1. EnsuresCustomer and Market Growth:
  • Works closely with sales team to meetsales objectives

  • Works with Area Sales Managers toevaluate needs of customers and their staff and develop Beauty Advisors andCounter Managers accordingly

  • Prepares training sessions and refresherclasses for Travel Retail Sales and Marketing team in Miami.

  1. ManagesOperational Effectiveness:
  • Conducts training meetings, seminars,and workshops to include: basic/new Beauty Advisor training seminars, seasonalseminars, advanced modules geared to specific needs, on-going counter managermodules, regional conferences, new product and color launches, merchandisingguidelines (if applicable)

  • Ensures all Beauty Advisors, CounterManagers, Brand Education Coordinators, and Freelancers meet high standards ofproduct knowledge, selling skills, Brand techniques, and professionalappearance established by Company to maintain Brand’s image.

  • Schedules local training programs tosupport sales strategy and objectives taking into account ASMs input;communicates and follows-up with sales staff to maximize all training programs;presents training strategy to Regional Sales Director/Management

  • Ensures ordering, allocation, trackingand availability of uniforms, products gifts, collaterals, samples andequipment, domestically and internationally

  • Conducts regular market visits forcounter coaching and to identify the regional training needs in Customerservice, product knowledge, policies & procedures; assists ASMs and ACswith local and generic training issues and needs

  • Proposes tools needed by Beauty Advisorsin the field

  • Manages the administration and budget inrelations to training programs:

  • Planstraining schedules

  • Maintainstravel and expense budget and prepares expense reports

  • Maintainsfield training budget and training materials inventory.

  • Establishes and maintains comprehensiveinformation system on all Education materials relating to product knowledge,display concepts, sales techniques, promotion programs, and system/proceduralrequirements

  • Plans, executes and facilitates RegionalBeauty Advisor seminars, workshops, and training sessions:

  • EducationalContent (prepares printed and presentations materials and all necessarymaterial including gifts)

  • Travelplans

  • Hotelarrangements (coordinates hotel, meeting and banquet arrangements and decorations,AV)

  • Cascades all Education roundtableinformation and Brand Strategy updates to Education Coordinator and providesall the necessary materials for execution in the field.

  • Coaches Education Coordinator to fulfillrole.

  • Plans seasonally with Commercial teamand Special Events Manager the calendar for the Education Coordinator toinclude workshops, LL, in-store coaching, in-store event execution.Masterclasses.

  • Manages Education Coordinator’s schedulebased on Retail needs and planning.

  • Works with other Education Managers,Education Coordinators, and International Makeup Artist/Special Events Managerto actively further develop Makeup On-Site program and RMAs

  • Partners with Affiliate counterpart orTR APAC counterpart to ensure we build ties and are in alignment withtranslated materials, programs, specific modules and launches

  • Extend E-learning to Beauty Advisors andCounter Managers

  • Maintains Beauty /Advisors profilerecords, including personal information and other related information, in anupdated database

  • Organizes and ships training materials,uniforms and other incentives to domestic as well as international destinations(processes orders and maintains records)

  • Maintains the Beauty Advisors gratisprograms by processing orders and maintaining records

  • Develops close relationships with BeautyAdvisors by means of E-mails, phone calls and mailings

  • Collaborates proactively in all projectsfor the Department for all the regions.

  1. ImprovesBusiness Processes:
  • Utilizes training strategy road map toanalyze opportunities and suggest specific training strategies

  • Brainstorms and work with Marketing onideas for Education, Special Events,Counter-Launch support activities, andspecial Brand meetings

  • Innovates, brings on Brand changes inthe field and in the Beauty Advisors representing the Brand

  • Encourages and facilitatesintra-regional exchange of training ideas to ensure consistent superiortraining objectives

  • Plans and thinks ahead, to achievemaximum training effectiveness and impact within the budget

  • Works closely with Sales Team to planfor a collective and comprehensive strategy for Beauty Advisor Training as wellas Floor/Counter sales staff trainings adapted to each region if applicable

  • Provide ACs with necessary material tofollow up with Beauty Advisors and Counter Managers

  • Researches and prepares cost comparisonand analysis for major travel andseminar expenses

  • Negotiates rates and prices for Servicesand materials to obtain the best quality and value for the Brand

  • Thoroughly adapts and customizes allpresentation and education materials for the different audiences of the wholeregion to ensure regional relevancy

  • Works with New York Global EducationTeam to develop any specific programs needed for region

  • Evaluates the competition on a traininglevel and reports recommendations/issues to regional management

  • Incorporate Social Media to Education.

  1. Leadsand Develops People:
  • Provides and insures the availability oftraining material in different languages.Address cultural variances and incorporate in seminars.

  • Implements in-house development,editing, and production of Training printed materials for use in the field by Trainers, CounterManagers, Education Coordinators, Freelancers, and ACs

  • Motivates and develops Beauty Advisors,Counter Managers: serves as role modelin image and professionalism

  • Motivates and develops EducationCoordinators.

  • Monitors and encourages Brand image;recruits and hires Beauty Advisors and Counter Managers with Area Sales Manager

  • Recruits and Evaluates EducationCoordinator.

  • Partners with Commercial team asrequested for input on Counter Manager Evaluations and provide input regardingBA performance and areas or opportunity.

  • Conducts on-the-job education at counter

  • Develop quizzes to elevate BeautyAdvisor knowledge on an ongoing basis; follow-up on results, and develop a planto track improvement with ACs.

  • Leads and provides vision for trainingactivities of the region

  • Recruits and hires TrainingAdministrator/Assistant Manager Training if applicable

  • Coaches and develops TrainingAdministrator/Assistant Manager if applicable

  • Complete job orientation for trainersand provides thorough training in policies, practices and standards whenapplicable

  • Assist Area Sales Manager to design andimplement incentive programs; analyze Goals vs. Results for improvement of AUSand IPT in key locations

  • Evaluates performance of Beauty Advisors,Counter Managers, Education Coordinator guiding them by working at counter toensure high standard of knowledge and performance

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Masters is a plus

  • Minimum 5 years sales and marketing experience

  • Willingness to travel up to 80% of thetime.

  • Fully bilingual, English & Spanish(Read, Write, and Speak) required. Mandarin a Plus.

  • Computer literate in Microsoft Word,Excel, PowerPoint

  • Field and/or industry experience

  • Social Media and Digital knowledge aplus

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Exposure to Asian culture a plus
