Manager, Trade Marketing (Mid-Tier Department Stores)

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:

Role Summary : Works closely

with Product Marketing and Account Lead to tailor marketing campaigns to

specific retailer needs, ensuring campaigns are 360 and that all non-saleable

assets are organized so that the right products arrive at the right place at

the right time; covers basic and launch. Manages all Prestige Department Store

accounts, with key focus on Macy’s.

SkillSummary : Strong creative vision, knowledge of 360 marketing campaigns (including

new media) and solid project management skills

POSITION

REQUIRMENTS:

  • Leaddevelopment and execution of omni account programming and marketing toincrease market share, sales and profit, capitalize on growthopportunities, and drive elevated consumer experience

  • Maintainrelationships with retail partners (Stores & MCOM) in partnership withAccount Lead to develop business strategies and capitalize on growthopportunities and minimize potential risk factors

  • Partnerwith Head of Account Management and Trade Marketing Director to establishand communicate clear goals and objectives for the account, includingsales and shipment plans to support seasonal objectives (Holiday, keylaunch initiatives, retailer exclusives)

  • Develop360 communication for all key initiatives to be executed by the field (Visual moments, Key Animation distortions)

  • Evaluateand assess brand performance (ie, category objectives, holiday cadence,etc) and effectiveness of marketing programs and establish appropriateaction plan; communicate results on key initiatives to the Account, NYOand Field

  • Able toconceptualize and execute a full 360 marketing campaign tailored toretailer needs and provide clear instructions to the creative team toexecute

  • Trackand ensure all assets required for marketing campaigns are on-time formarketing programs; route ROP, printed materials and broadcast buys forthe account

  • Guidethe development of retailer presentations of the marketing program, withthe goal of generating Macy’s support for Bobbi’s seasonal marketing andpromotional programs

  • Continuouslylook forward ensuring all key learnings are communicated effectively toimpact future decision making regarding programs and strategies relevantto drive growth in the Macy’s account

  • Manageseasonal advertising strategies and manage coop budgets for both Stores& MCOM channels

  • Developseasonal promotional calendars with the Account Leads, maintaining allside-by-sides and media cost sheets

  • Managecoop budget for Stores and MCOM channels for Macy’s

  • Responsiblefor Achievement of Shipment Plan/Maximizing order writing

  • Partnerwith Planning & Lead OE partner to maximize all programming and eventplans with the appropriate support to maximize results

  • Takeactive role in weekly status calls with Macy’s

  • Leadcontent creation, meeting planning for Market Meeting – including previewsessions

ACCOUNT

ALLOCATION:

  • 55% of timededicated to Macy’s

  • 45% of timededicated to other Mid-Tier Accounts (Belk, Dillards, Lord & Taylor)

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 3 years experience

  • Ability tocollaborate and communicate cross-functionally, with retail partners,internal partners, Macy’s Key Account team and field

  • Ability tothrive in a fast paced environment where flexibility is a key component

  • Rightside/left side of brain thinker, combining creative and business skills

  • Strongattention to detail while simultaneously capable of seeing the wholepicture

  • Ability tomaximize resources (people, budget), operate efficiently andfollow-through

  • Ability tomake strategic, analytical and fact-based recommendations linked to aclear understanding of marketing of a brand at point-of-sale

  • Positionrequires strong leadership, project management skills, budget managementand negotiation skills

  • Self-starterwith the ability to work independently

  • Excellentwritten & verbal communication , comfortable presenting to all levelsof management and working within a matrix organization
