Director, Global Social Media, Clinique
Clinique is looking for a Director, Global Social Media who has a strategic vision to move the brand forward in the social media space and a passion for beauty. Candidates should be extremely adept at utilizing social strategy and tactics to increase social engagement, click-through, referrals, video views, brand lift, and in-store traffic. They should be able to pair taste with quantitative findings to make decisions on everything from copy and voice to overarching stories and new social ad formats and platforms.
In this role, you will develop and implement Clinique’s global social media strategy, develop brand awareness and market the brand’s message through all social media platforms. This cross-functional role is responsible for leveraging Clinique’s heritage, creativity and product innovation to build global programs that drive business goals, brand awareness and advocacy across all markets. This position is full time, salaried with benefits, and reports to the Executive Director of Digital Marketing as part of Clinique’s Global Consumer Engagement team.
Work closely with Clinique’s creative and editorial teams to develop and execute programming for Clinique’s owned social channels
Partner with Consumer Engagement team leads to support Clinique’s launch programs throughout the year, ensuring content is optimized for each social channel
Work with the North America market across both brand and ecommerce teams to ensure all key events and promotions are calendarized to drive both online and in-store traffic
Partner with Global Communications on influencer relations strategies
Create and refine channel-driven content strategies as platforms evolve, optimizing for KPIs based on defined business goals (including but not limited to engagement, clicks, video views, brand lift, conversion)
Manage daily content calendar for global Instagram channel
Manage relationship with U.S. media agency to ensure all paid social content is targeted appropriately based on defined business goals.
Manage monthly and quarterly social reporting processes to create actionable insights for future product launches and social media programs; integrate social data into broader digital marketing reports to ensure data-driven content decisions.
Cascade social strategies, programs and assets to 50 global markets using centralized content management system
Create a center of excellence for social media globally to share insights and best practices across markets & regions
Directly manage Associate, Social Media and oversee all community management interactions via social
Lead new social technology implementation (i.e. Olapic, Curalate, Sprinklr) and scale globally as necessary
Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, and competitors to ensure Clinique is at the forefront of new technologies and innovations
4-year Bachelor’s degree required
7-8 years of relevant experience managing social media for a large consumer brand, agency or media publisher
Exceptional leadership skills to grow, build, and retain a talented team of social media professionals
Proven experience hitting key social KPIs
Excellent editorial/creative judgment, writing skills and ability to capture Clinique’s voice to reach both new and legacy consumers
Confident, collaborative, and communicative with a desire to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Agency background a plus

Pro-active problem solver and critical, creative thinking a must
