JOB FUNCTION: Act as partner to the Vice President of Global Communications and liaison with Consumer Engagement to deliver outstanding blended PR and social strategies, programs and initiatives across all media platforms, to support Estee Lauder’s business initiatives, image goals and product launches for the International markets.

LEADS: Team of 3 in NY, Director, Manager and Coordinator. And directs 30 PR Officers based in the international markets.


Strategize, create and cascade innovative communications programs to the global PR Managers to drive strong PR buzz and consumer engagement

  • Lead the team in the integration of targeted, brand-relevant influencer tactics across all launch program plans with a view to increasing the Brands’ EMV in markets

  • Work closely with Consumer Engagement to ensure all PR programs and plans support the brand’s consumer strategies

  • Partner with relevant brand departments including Consumer Engagement, Global Marketing, Education, Product Development, R&D, Legal and Creative on launch programs to ensure message and image consistency

  • Partner with the Vice President to develop inspiring and insightful annual PR Manager meetings

  • Direct and liaise with International PR Managers, helping to drive industry-leading, locally relevant executions and ideas that reflect the global brand image

  • Work collaboratively with Regional Management teams to gain alignment on regional and local priorities, budgets and programs

  • Oversee and mentor Director, Manager and Coordinator

Oversee the production and approvals of all press releases, presentations, videos, photography, press kits, and other PR tools necessary to communicate image, product and spokespeople messages to international media.

Assist the VP in managing internal and external spokespeople, including executives and models.

Oversee the team’s organization of International press tours and travel to the markets with external spokesmodels as well as internal spokespeople from Product Development, R&D and senior management.

Spearhead all media training for spokespeople travelling to international markets and responsible for spokespoeple talking points.

Lead the team in responding to daily requests from all markets in a timely manner

Support local brand managers in the hiring, training and retaining of best PR talent in the affiliates

  • Continue to develop the brand’s PR talent and capabilities around the world offering opportunities for learning where possible and “on boarding” new PR talent talent to ensure an understanding of the brand story, philosophy, aesthetic and communications requirements

Plan and maintain PR budget for both brands.


At least 10 years public relations/communications experience with proven blended PR and social media skills. Bachelor degree preferred. Excellent strategic and creative thinker, solid organizational, presentation and communications skills, strong understanding of social and digital media and influencer strategies, team management experience, ability to prioritize. Experience in international business arena important. Must have the ability to understand cultural nuances, be willing to travel internationally, have an understanding of the cosmetic industry, be passionate about fashion and social trends, and must possess an inate sense of style. Prestige/ luxury brand experience a plus.
