Clinique is looking for an experienced and versatile Manager, Copy to join our team. This position requires a strong creative and innovative spirit, and the ability to generate engaging 360 concepts within a team environment.

Candidate Requirements:

An interest in a broad variety of copy assignments, from product naming and package copy to print collateral. You will be guided to mastery of the distinct Clinique Voice, and contribute to the broadest range of media; print, OOH, in-store, online and social.

  • Work with in-house art directors to develop engaging concepts with executional excellence. Adapt ideas for both conventional media and the digital space.

oConceptualize all aspects of creative components for Promotional Marketing events and Gift With Purchase.

oRetain competitive advantages worldwide; work with Legal to evolve claims.

oWork directly with Product Development, Education and Marketing to discover back-story features and bring them forward in engaging ways.

oBe able to continually refresh campaign effectiveness for perennial retail programs and events.

oDevelop story angles/copy for fast-tracked programs, retailer-specific initiatives and regional requests.

oAbility to take positive direction, learn new styles, and remain enthusiastic under deadline pressures and rewrites.


oPosition requires relevant writing experience, including web and/or direct marketing copy experience, 5 years minimum. Must provide portfolio.

oThe scope of work demands a skilled, versatile, organized writer who can adjust to evolving corporate goals, and maintain the distinct Clinique Voice in all media.

oA tactile understanding of prestige market and a proven capacity for inventive, multi-media advertising.

oMust be self-motivated and highly organized; with a keen ability to multi-task and manage a multi-faceted workload. Must also be comfortable with meeting tight deadlines and have strong presentation skills.

oMust be able to create powerful concepts and have acute awareness of contemporary social content.

oInherent interest in the beauty business.

oCollege Degree Preferred

oReport to an Executive Director charged with making your experience rich, diverse and rewarding.
