Manager, Global Marketing – Skincare/Primer, MAC
Responsible for global marketing activities related to Skincare / Primer categories.
Supports Executive Director in the development of global marketing category strategy.
Participates in the development of three year product planning, global and regional marketing calendars.
Prepares regular subcategory reviews, strategies and programs.
Helps drive financial management of category, need gap analysis and business mix.
Responsible for all strategic elements of category: Feasibilities, COG, Pricing, SKU Management, Calendar and Merchandising.
Help lead efforts to reduce costs across managed categories by performing value analysis and issuing guidelines for new development.
Prepares presentations and presents at various senior management meetings: Strategy Meetings, Orientations, Regional Meetings, etc.
Responsible for attending, presenting and recapping all marketing topics for important relevant category.
NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MARKETING (SKINCARE / PRIMER)
Stays abreast of global competitive activity and trends. Conducts competitive analysis on regular basis for each business segment; analyzes new competitive product launches and maintains complete, up to date competitive advertising and collateral files.
Helps drive the conceptual development of marketing programs considering strategic fit.
Initiates and directs all category strategies and projects, including Innovation Portal, Creative Requests, Collateral Spreadsheets and Marketing Bulletins. Drives support program development ensuring programs are on time and within budget.
Leads cross functional partner groups (including but not limited to GBSC, Product Development, Packaging, Design, GSR, Creative and AT&D) to bring regionally relevant new programs to market.
Works closely with Product Development to realize conceptual vision into strategic lineup.
Ensures key timetable dates are met in coordination with GBSC; Team lead for Skincare / Primer category at PPD Meetings.
Directs the preparation and posting of marketing bulletins detailing new program introduction and execution.
SAMPLING / FRANCHISE KITS
Assist Executive Director in the development of global brand sampling strategy.
Spearhead task force and coordinate with key partner groups (Products, International Marketing, Regional Marketers, Glob Com, On Line, CRM, Creative, Store Design, Makeup Artistry, AT&D, Legal, Sales)
Position requires 5 years relevant work experience.
Previous global and or applied marketing experience required.
Position requires creativity and thorough knowledge in all areas of marketing including the ability to develop and implement innovative marketing programs, knowledge of global market/consumer trends.
Knowledge of the functions of product development, packaging design, consumer research, and sales and their effect on product marketability.
Independent, self-starter, well organized, detail oriented with exceptional organizational and follow up skills.
Position requires leadership skills and project management skills.
Strong analytical, written/oral communications, excellent presentation and problem solving skills, ability to personally organize and set priorities and drive other people.
Team player with the ability to build, foster and nurture relationships with members of cross functional teams.
Thorough knowledge of PC (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
