PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE : Project manages the launch and limited life decision-making and planning

process, which includes the Head of Marketing, Product Marketing, the Head of

Account Management, the Head of Account & Sales Planning and Demand

Planning. Analytical thinker that provides

analysis and insight to guide decision-makers on launch/limited life (e.g.,

launches, sets/holiday, exclusives and PWP). Works closely with Product

Marketing, Account Planners and Demand Planning to understand relative

importance of launches in order to support accurate planning. Develops

proposals for account allocations with approval of Head of Account & Sales

Planning and Head of Account Management approval.


New Launch Plan

  • Develops new launch plan and scenarios for launch (launch, sets/holiday,exclusives and PWP), accurately planning growth and drawing on analyses of previousperformance; solicits input from Account Leads and Account Planners on plan;regularly meets with Product Marketing to discuss and align

  • Develops new launch plans estimates for marketing presentation 12 monthsin advance for retailers’ input; attends launch proposal meetings and worksclosely with Product Marketing to discuss and align

  • Collaborate with Demand Planning on new launch plan proposals; evaluatepipe and forward 3 month plan to ensuredoor counts/events can be covered

  • Analyze monthly and rolling plans for all launch products with DemandPlanning

  • Works with Replenishment, retailers andAccount Planners to develop recommendations for ordering parameters for launch,holiday/sets, exclusives and PWP

  • Works with product marketing to set andtrack ship and on-counter dates

Launch Execution

  • Enters in allocations by Account into LFW

  • Collaborates with the event team who executes launch in SAP

  • Works with Account Services to ensure the correct items are shipped tothe correct doors at the right time; Account Services tracks POs andcommunicates to field; Launch planner ensures that summary of shipping isprovided to Head of Account & Sales Planning

  • Works with Supply toensure that launches are assembled correctly

  • Works with Supply to ensure inventory availability on launches, upcomingdeliveries and trouble shoots problems (e.g., QA holds)

  • Calls out large variances in performance v. plan that may require achange in the demand plan, alerting the Head of Account & Sales Planning /Demand Planning

  • Monitors weekly performance during launch, holiday/sets, exclusives and PWP periods tore-allocate inventory as needed; executes and approves launch re-orders

  • Monitors quantities and develops plans, with approval of Head of Account& Sales Planning, to exhaust all excess SKUs, especially limited editions

Reporting and Analytics

  • Supports Head of Account & Sales Planning in designing markdownstrategy through providing analysis on past performance; works with AccountPlanners to executes markdown strategy and communicate to field

  • Analyzes WOS and plan for phase outs

  • Issues launch and limited life sell through reporting

  • Develops analysis and review of launch, sets/holiday, exclusives and PWP to informbusiness decisions

  • Responsible for analyzing monthly performance and working with DemandPlanning to adjust forecast

  • Helps develop reciprocal logic for sales ramp up/ramp down duringholiday

Other responsibilities:

  • Gives input to Marketing Ops/Marketing Services as they develop theretailer packet to be issued 90 days before season start, including newlaunches, SRP changes, etc.

  • Attends weekly merchandising meetings to understand launch programs

  • Attends marketing team status meetings

  • Provides input on priority ship schedule to Marketing Operations/MarketingServices

  • Brand representative for Profile Tag meeting for new products

  • Develops volume code recommendations for approval by Head of Account &Sales Planning

  • Strong business savvy and knowledge; ability to use analytics to informothers of the best options for program/allocations to support theaccount/brand strategy

  • Highly organizedand structured



  • College degree required

  • Project management experience stronglypreferred

  • 5 years experience in an analytical job

  • Strong math and analytical skills

  • Ability to analyze and manipulate large amount of data in excel and teachothers to do so

  • Self-starter and ability to work independently
