The NA, brand aligned, Project Manager for Open Sell (Sephora, Ulta, etc.) Merchandising is responsible for managing NA open sell projects (launch of new systems and updates), applying best practices and techniques to control project schedule, costs and performance risks to ensure timely execution meeting the satisfaction of the NA Region. They manage all programs from ideation to execution, focus on meeting project commitments and advocate on behalf of the Region, including reporting to stakeholders, and provide corrective supervision if necessary. They create within the enlarged Collateral NA Group a sense of ownership of programs promoting mutual support and interaction to achieve common goals.

  • Review brand’s marketing documents for NA programs (seasonal calendar / marketing brief) and ensure program on-counter dates are aligned with retailer expectations

  • Ensure all aspects of project are captured upfront including budget and on-counter dates for open sell launches and updates within North American Open Sell distribution venues.

  • Create, drive and manage retailer specific timetables, taking into account design approvals, competitive bids, development timing and logistical imperatives for cost effective and timely execution within stores

  • Hold unique position of having full visibility between retailer’s VM Operations, Supplier and Brand, and as needed bridge lines of communication to address issues

  • Conduct regular meetings with all stakeholders, identify road blocks, undertake continuous adjustments with stakeholders in a persuasive manner, and as needed, escalate issues and risks to Senior Management

  • Manage merchandising offerings via intranet (IMW/GMW) when applicable to North America, ensure guidance on proper ordering process, and capture orders. Communicate final orders to Indirect Procurement.

  • Produce ongoing status reports, track progress, and review project tasks to make certain deadlines are met appropriately, or take timely action to mitigate delays

  • Deal with frequent changes, delays and unexpected events, and manage challenging, time-sensitive, fast-paced situations


  • Strong experience in project management, operations and understanding of the complexities of open sell activity, timing and retailer specific requirements (Sephora, Shoppers Drug Mart, Ulta, etc.)

  • Understands process, organization, collaboration and technology

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, time management, presentation and problem solving skills

  • Must possess a sense of urgency, entrepreneurial working style, be organized and detail oriented

  • Ability to work under tight timelines, manage multiple tasks and priorities in an ever-changing environment

  • Radiate a positive attitude, enthusiasm and genuine energy

  • PC software: Microsoft office, PowerPoint required. Smartsheet preferred.

  • Minimum Years of Experience:5 Years

  • Minimum Education level:Partial or Completed College
