Description

Estee Lauder Companies is looking for a talented Senior Manager of UX Design to join our enterprise learning team and will support the VP, Learning & Capability Building. The desired candidate will work closely with stakeholders and apply design thinking and user-centered design principles to conceive and design relevant, engaging and seamless learning experiences for the employees of our organization.

He or she will lead the early stages of research and ideation and will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams through the iteration and development process. He or she must be an accomplished designer who is fluent with digital experiences across platforms and also confident with user journeys maps & scenario creation. The qualified candidate must also be an effective interviewer who is excited to observe human behavior and synthesize qualitative data that is gathered from user interviews and usability testing sessions. Creating flows, designing wireframes and building prototypes to explore and test concepts will be standard practice. Critical thinking and problem solving is expected to help make informed decisions on the job. Leadership style must include innovation, credibility, transparency, and collaboration.

The role of Senior UX will support the VP of Learning & Capability Building by innovating the enterprise learning experience to create a culture of discovery, curiosity and growth. Will create, test and deliver innovative experiences that meet the needs & behaviors of our employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Activate well-established design practices to create solutions for unique learning needs

  • Lead discovery processes by conducting stakeholder interviews, shaping user and business goals, and discerning technical requirements

  • Test assumptions and present user research

  • Closely collaborate with teams to define feature functionality through detailed user flows, information architecture, wireframes, and documentation (including wireframes for web and mobile apps)

  • Create interactive prototypes to demonstrate concepts for user testing

  • Create and drive user test plans. Experience with user interviewing and testing on at least 1 major mobile product, a plus

  • Present findings internally and to clients

  • Work closely with learning influencer to gather data insight for continuous iteration and enhancements

Qualifications

5 years in a client-facing, service related technology industry

Familiar with web-design or agile product development methods

Experience working hands-on with developers and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment

Deep understanding and proven experience with web, iOS, and Android platforms

Rapid prototyping experience

Human Behavior & Consumer Insights a plus

Skills Needed

Design Thinking methodology, mindset and facilitation skills

Strong mobile, responsive and product/service design skills with a proficiency in a variety of design tools

Ability to define taxonomies and metadata models

Entrepreneurial spirit who is solution oriented

Excellent communication and critical thinking skills

Strong collaboration & stakeholder management skills

Continuous desire and curiosity to educate and hone technical skills in order to remain abreast of latest trends and technology

Required Language Proficiency:English (Spanish or French a plus)

Minimum Education level:Undergraduate Degree and/or certification in related field of study
