The Global Retail Team is a center of excellence for the retail channel where we consolidate the financial planning and operational reporting to support the performance measurement of the Retail Channel globally. The team is responsible for the development and reporting of key financial metrics for the Global Retail Channel while partnering with the brands and regions to operationalize the reporting. Furthermore, the team will play a critical role in driving the development of strategic priorities and operating plans for the Retail Channel which includes the reporting framework that measures the profitability and effectiveness of the channel.
The responsibilities of the role include providing financial reporting and analysis for the retail channel globally including post audit analysis of store openings, brand driven deep dive analysis, departmental operating expense management, forecasting and budgeting. The role will support the Global Retail VP and Manager to collaborate with the finance leads of the brands and regions, and to align reporting results and validate assumptions of key new initiatives. The cadence of reporting includes preparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports for the brands and senior management. The position will be a key player in consolidating the retail channel reports and in preparing the departmental monthly results, estimate, quarterly report, annual budget and LRP (long range plan).
The position will support financial analysis from various information sources to consolidate the results for the retail channel. Additional key dimensions of the role will be to enhance our reporting capabilities to improve the tracking of results, and to identify and analyze risks and opportunities.
Knowledge of our financial tools, processes and systems is a must.
Support VP and management of Global Retail Channel performance and reporting (60%):
-Consolidate and validate data for monthly, quarter results to ensure accuracy of information with supporting analysis, timely delivery, fully integrated with Brands and Regions
-Identify anomalies and cross-check information to ensure analytical integrity
-Deliver additional analysis on the key performance drivers to understand gaps to plan and business risks and opportunities
-Support LRP preparation, notably to establish allocations across brands and regions
Support to GRC team monthly analysis (notably forecast, budget differences) (30%)
Assist with deep dive analysis on key initiatives to identify new savings opportunities across brands and geographies (20%)
The role can be located in New York City, with some travel to Melville
Accurate, timely reporting of financial performance, savings in the P&L for monthly, quarterly and yearly GRC results
Detail oriented, able to validate and integrate financial information from multiple sources for analysis and reporting
Understands how to organize and collaborate on financial analysis for the team and senior management
Excellent communication and interaction skills within the GRC team, Corp Finance, SC Finance, and regional finance leads
Knowledge and adherence of financial accounting, monthly close, annual budget, and strategic long range planning processes
Strong working knowledge of SAP, Essbase, CPM, BI, Excel, pivot tables
