MISSION/ROLE:

The purpose of this role is to leverage analytics to optimize the consumer experience across Clinique’s direct-to-consumer and retailer channels globally. The role will utilize various databases to define business questions and extract and analyze consumer trends and behavior to provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations.

This candidate will be responsible for assisting the Director, CRM in leading the department across all CRM initiatives, coordinating projects for the team as-needed to ensure all deadlines are met. The position also includes consumer analytics, performance analysis to gauge success and optimize future programs, development of retention programs, preparation of reports for leadership on best practices, support materials and insights presentations for cross-functional partners, assists with vendor relationships and testing new platforms and programs.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Leverage multiple consumer databases to perform ongoing customer and campaign analyses. As a leader in analytics, partner with cross-functional teams to refine business questions and transform the resulting data into actionable strategic insights and recommendations to optimize the customer experience.

  • Analyze CRM data for all Direct-to-Consumer channels (retail and digital) to understand cross-channel customer behavior and consumer profiles/segments.

  • Delivers compelling customer insights and clear recommendations that materially improve the ability to achieve short and long term goals.

  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of data and insights. Liaise with analytical counterparts to share best practices and provide single view of customer.

  • Collaborate and build relationships with leaders, business partners and peers to offer direction on analytical approach & methodologies, insight development and best practices as the global customer insights & analytics Center of Excellence.

  • Provide analysis support for cross-functional strategic projects spanning marketing, merchandising, operations and finance.

  • Lead the development and management of all CRM database marketing analytics, including but not limited to: client profiling, segmentation & trending, LTV modeling, survey universe identification. Partner with internal stakeholders to develop relevant strategic customer reporting and KPI’s and manage preparation and distribution of same. Assist with development of global lifecycle marketing programs.

  • Assist with the development of engagement and retention-driving customer communication program strategies and cadence.

  • Support international business leads with ROI analysis and launch plans in order for Clinique to rollout the loyalty program framework globally.

  • Lead the social media analytics and listening program working with the director of social media and third party agencies to monitor overall program performance and provide data and insights to use as an early input to digital campaign process.

  • Assess the impact of cross-functional marketing efforts across the consumer conversion funnel leveraging varying attribution models and analyze cross-campaign interaction. Evaluate channels based on new customer acquisition and customer value.

  • Assess the impact of new site functionality, creative and merchandising strategies

  • Manage Vendor partners including SOWs and day to day work.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4 years in an analytical role, preferably within web analytics/CRM/consumer insights

  • Experience with CRM databases

  • Experience with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics/Omniture/Coremetrics

  • Experience with social media analytics tools (Expion, Curalate)

  • Experience with social media listening a plus

  • Experience with tag management tools such as Signal a plus

  • Strong cross-functional communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment
