To oversee content creation across various brand channels with a specific focus on global social/digital platforms. The Assistant Manager helps develop the overall content offerings across social media and co-manages day-to-day editorial operations and updates for the company’s digital properties. This includes planning, managing the content calendar, and developing original video content. This role also focuses on optimizing content discovery and maximizing engagement on an ongoing basis and aids in integrating digital content across our social media channels. Combining strategic and creative abilities, this position contributes to key communications projects, marketing materials, executive and special projects, and works with team members at all levels of the organization. This includes promotion of the brand and its products to the consumer in line with the objectives, images and goals of the brand. Content strategy is crucial to the future growth of the brand, so the ideal candidate will understand how to ideate, produce and distribute compelling content that targets consumers strategically and engages them enough to become brand advocates.


  • Work with brand Global Marketing, GC, and Creative on developing an overarching content strategy across social/digital platforms, e-commerce, in store, etc.

  • Interface with Founder to review content strategy and secure approvals in timely manner.

  • Responsible for driving the content strategy, content development and execution, with a focus on new and future social/digital media and e-commerce platforms.

  • Forge through new ideas, new programs and new ways of communicating with the consumer via compelling yet targeted content to ultimately engage them and inspire them to become brand advocates, while adhering to corporate guidelines and legal requirements; Create engaging content across platforms, including researching, writing, editing, and conducting interviews. Contribute to Company’s digital publication.

  • Create compelling content for various high-level corporate projects, marketing materials and special editorial projects.

  • Produce, manage and develop the creation of original video content with internal teams and outside vendors, including treatment/storyboard.

  • Plan and manage content and video production calendars.

  • Work with Social Media lead on integrating digital content across social platforms.

  • Develop and execute varied project plans.

  • Work with digital media marketing team to implement SEO optimization of site content to maximize performance.

  • Oversee the work of freelance contractors, if appropriate, or other vendors, designating assignments and determining appropriate compensation.

  • Work closely with Global Marketing and GC colleagues for all high profile visits and events.

  • Attend brand and/or industry events as needed.

  • Develop, maintain, and enforce editorial style guidelines

  • Work closely with GC team members, Social and Digital marketing, Creative and Community Manager for consistency of brand aesthetic and messaging.


  • BA or 4-year college degree required.

  • 5-7 years’ of experience in general communications with at least 2 of those in online communications, at a media organization or digital/print outlet.

  • Expert in content development, channel optimization, brand consistency.

  • Experienced with visual storytelling, via video production and development.

  • Experienced with social media and content integration.

  • Collaborative working style, with ability to work independently, as well as with team members at all levels of the Company.

  • Must be comfortable with both corporate and journalistic writing; a flexible, responsive, out-of-the box thinker, consistently identifying new content opportunities.

  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with a passion for and proven history of successful brand storytelling across media.

  • Senior level content strategy experience.

  • Must be organized, detail-oriented and able to prioritize multiple projects.

  • Editorial or commercial successes with measurable results.

  • Active engagement in online and social media.

  • Branding/beauty/fashion/entertainment experience desirable.

  • Experience managing a team and outside agency.

  • Self-motivated; able to own projects and execute in a timely manner.

  • Familiarity with analytics and meaningful measurement.

  • Excellent time management, analytical, decision-making and organizational skills.

  • Strong project management skills and ability to create and execute plans.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint and Outlook.
