Director, Field Sales and Education (Sephora), Clinique
Drive retail sales across the US through elevating Clinique's presence at Sephora. Partnering with key departments such as Public Relations, Product Development, Education, Marketing and Operations to ensure the Clinique Sephora field team is able to deliver brand/product stories and messages with long-term sales success. Reporting in to the Executive Director, the Director of Sales & Education US is directly responsible for the development of the Education Executives & Coordinators, designed to elevate the ability of the Clinique US field at Sephora.
Develop the Education Executives & Coordinators' ability to influence cast members and educate on brand & product.
Partner in creating strategy for Clinique at Sephora by building strong relationships with all key brand departments (PR, PD, Education, Operations).
Develop curriculum & education vehicles to evolve our ability to educate and remain on the cutting edge of adult learning principles, ensuring that the account's uniqueness and needs are met through all sales and education programs.
Trains Field Sales Team on product knowledge, advanced artistry skills, and selling behaviors, functioning as a resource and leader, providing product and sales expertise.
Leverages market feedback to better understand needs of key DMA’s, ensure that market-specific and cultural needs are met within programs, enhance program design and creation of customized training formats and tools.
Develop event library and work directly with Sephora to update event themes. Develop content, client facing tools, samples, cast engagement and collaborate with Executive Director on dates and results. Work with cross functional internal teams for more social engagement on events.
Responsible for cast gratis choices each season and allocating to coordinators.
Manage all field budgets, event budgets and gratis budgets.
Manage all education kits for trainings and coordination for trainings across US.
Book all new store opening training and manage field communication and execution.
Works with EE’s for scheduling by territory and store frequency.
Manage all execution on Senior Skin Advisory, Artistry lab, SBES, SDC, Clusters. Working with content developer to drive specific content for each of the events.
Execute and lead EC’s conference 2x a year to drive EC skill and seasonal planning.
Provide recommendations and work closely with developer as it relates to Sephora technology- IQ’s, services, education technology, video library.
Maintains awareness of market and industry trends in the region, understanding consumer preferences, needs, consumer segmentation, and beauty trends.
Establishes and fosters relationships with retail management to strengthen the execution on initiatives and programs.
Key business partner to Sephora EDU and Sephora inside JCP.
Lead execution of education boxes and event boxes for SiJCP.
8 years of relevant experience in education or sales, along with management/supervisory experience
Strong leadership and management skills demonstrated by talent and consistent positive sales results
Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential
Must be willing to travel 50 – 60% and be based in either Central or Eastern U.S.
