POSITION OVERVIEW:

This role will be responsible for leading, coordinating and implementing International business and Retail development and transformation of the International Brand across channels, regions and markets with the goal of enhancing the Origins retail sales, market position, consumer engagement and in-store experience.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead International business to ensure market share gain, best-in-class consumer engagement and experience, and retail channel optimization.

  • Collaborate with Global and Regional stake holders for development, alignment, and deployment of strategic initiatives

o Work together to identify, understand, and conceive the biggest strategic opportunities based on insight and available intelligence

Collaborate and evaluate what progressive “Test and Learn” opportunities are.

o Develop specific action plan inclusive of capabilities needed to support -agreed upon strategic initiatives

o Review action plan with all relevant stakeholders to determine responsibilities and deliverables in terms of timing

  • Assume a critical role in the development and execution the brand strategic plan with the integration of agreed upon retail strategies

Establish and follow-up on aligned priorities for each region

Ensure the development of retail experience across FSS, Department stores and Specialty Multi

  • Lead the implementation of holistic Omni-channel experience - enable consumers to browse, play and learn through merchandising & events; provide custom services to create a personalized experience; and behind integrated social/digital powered experience.

  • Partner with the GIS, GRC, and Omnichannel teams as well as online and consumer marketing to connect and support Origins and ELC Retail/Omni-Channel strategy in a synergistic, pro-active manner creating alliance with the corporate team

  • Project manage development and deployment of the Global Retail Marketing calendars with Regions and supporting materials, activities, etc.to effectively operationalize the retail plans by channel.

Achieve Sales, Retail KPI’s, NOP and ROIC Objectives for Origins International B&M various channels

  • Balance the portfolio of regions and affiliates to achieve a sustainable profitable growth, Build Pro-Forma P&L with clear, measurable KPI’s

  • Review on a monthly basis for insight, learnings and progress, advising relevant parties of results

  • Work with regions and Finance leads to properly manage all lines on the channels P&L and the impact on the Global Brand performance

  • Create consistency in policy and procedures to drive operational efficiency

  • Work with Regional and Global partners to diagnose opportunities and develop strategies and tactics to effectively drive performance across all markets an channels

Deepen International and Global Knowledge of Retail channels and Market Dynamics

  • Conduct market visits to major cities and markets that are important in the expansion or acceleration of the brand

  • Keep current in the global competitive activity as well as innovation in the retail and omni-channel arena

  • Work on fine-tuning existing business models and test-and-learning new business models (show-rooming, peer-to-peer, leveraging online and offline social influencers…)

  • Take direct responsibility of LATAM and MECCA Australia and New Zealand

  • Stimulate best-practices development and circulate them across regions

Develop a Robust Communication Channel between all for Maximum Level of Execution

  • Build and Maintain a Comprehensive Communication cadence with:

o The regional leads through regular statuses

o Partners with Global Brand functions, Education, Service, Store Design, Visual Merchandising, Consumer, Marketing and Online

o Regular weekly statuses with VP International

Elevate Presence as an Important, Positive Role Model in the Origins and ELC Organization

  • Be an active member of the Origins team, providing timely updates on International business statuses and strategic initiatives. Be a leader in various brand and ELC forums : Regional and Global RT,

  • Take on the shared and important responsibility of making Origins and ELC the best place to work by representing and supporting the character traits we have identified as non-negotiable: credibility, collaboration, fairness, respect and pride.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

o University Degree, preferably in business or equivalent experience

o 10 years retail strategy and / or retail marketing management experience in:

o A high transaction retail environment

o A customer experience and engagement environment

o International and multi-cultural experience

o Ability to strategize combined with strong problem solving skills

o Proven ability to lead teams (including influence leadership)

o Strong finance and analytical skills

o Ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment

o Excellent communication skills; written and oral

o Travel required (30%)
