Detail oriented Graphic Designer capable of handling the production of all packaging mechanicals and provides support and assistance to the Executive Director, Global Package and Product Design, by contributing to the ideation, development and execution of all packaged goods for the Origins brand

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Execution of final artwork for all primaries (bottles, jars, tubes, samples) and secondary packaging (cartons, sleeves, set up boxes) for product categories including Skin Care, Promotions, Bath & Body, Makeup, Holiday and some special projects.

  • Maintain and up keep packaging standards file for the brand and create new guides as needed for ongoing repackaging initiative.

  • Act as liaison with Packaging Operations for the production of all artwork and the execution of necessary updates to comply with revised corporate specifications.

  • Work as assistant designer to the Executive Designer on all aspects of packaging including concept design, line maintenance, product rendering, and comping.

  • Work within the Creative Department to coordinate photographic assets to be used on packaging for programs such as Travel Retail, recruitment sets and special promotions as requested per market.

  • Help to handle the generation of comps as needed for photography, presentations and China Registration. Keep up with the brands current packaging and new launches as needed to have the knowledge to gather what is need to do this.

  • Interact with the Corporate Packaging Department as needed to assist in the completion of final mechanical artwork and the development of finished goods. This could include color approvals, press checks, and direct contact with outside vendors as needed.

  • Research and contribute design solutions, new concepts, innovative ideas and materials to be used in all areas of packaging.


  • Position requires 3 years of experience.

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

  • Detail oriented designer with a background in Graphic Design and/or Industrial Design preferred.

  • Capable of handling multiple disciplines, such as production, design, and timeline management.

  • High level of proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign. Some computer rendering skills a plus.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including, Packaging Operations, Creative, Marketing, Product and Package Development.

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of the technical aspects of packaging, color matching and product comping.

  • Skills in pattern development and illustration a plus.

  • Strong design aesthetic and creative thinker.
