Marketing Manager - Smashbox / Glamglow / Aramis & Designer Fragrances
Responsible for coordinating marketing activities related to ADF/Smashbox/Glamglow in Canada. Responsibilities include planning and executing marketing programs in line with the North America marketing objectives to increase sales and grow market share in Canada, while improving profitability.
Partners with the Brand Manager to implement marketing objectives for the Canadian market and ensures that the North America strategies are synergistically in place to achieve them.
Analyze and make recommendations on any needs/adjustments needed to key basic sku’s future forecasts.
Partner with Brand Manager on category reviews for the pertinent segments of the business which involves thorough research on Canada trends, competition and consumer dynamics. Requires analysis, identification of opportunities and strategic recommendations.
Partners with Brand Manager to liaise with NYO and LAO cross-functional teams to develop Canada specific programs and support materials needed.
Create, submit and track job requests to Creative for Canada programs.
Partner with retailers to develop and implement marketing, trade-marketing, and shopper-marketing activation.
Approve the Retailer’s Co-op ads, mailers and broadcast making all necessary changes where needed.
Assist in the preparation for Sales and Retailer meetings including comps, sales books, and presentation (Canada specific), as well as regional and strategy meetings on an as-needed basis.
Key point person for category information. (sku count, pricing and new product/collateral/sample forecasts)
Provides analysis of sku productivity by category
Manage Canada marketing deck inclusive of historical budget spending analysis and proposals for future plans
Ensure all forecasts and work requests are completed and updated in a timely fashion for the North America affiliate.
Host bi-weekly calls with the North America Marketing team to ensure a timely flow of information on U.S. strategies and any updates/changes that will affect Canada marketing.
Manage the Canadian collateral customization and print schedule while staying within budget.
Complete the Canadian processing of collateral (posters, demo cards, mailers) for retailer visual priorities by working with Brand Manager to:
Determine all visual priorities and required quantities of collateral pieces
Plan and execute the production of collateral pieces with outside vendors
Communicate collateral strategy to Sales Field as necessary
Manage the release of all collateral to all retailers
Work with Customer Service to ensure all programs are shipped in a timely manner.
Undergraduate degree required
5 years relevant work experience in the cosmetic industry
Strong Interpersonal Skills. Must be an excellent team player with the ability to build, foster and nurture relationships with members of the North America Marketing team and cross-functional teams.
Strategic thinker with an understanding of traditional and digital marketing and media disciplines.
Ability to navigate and creatively leverage fast paced online digital / social media vehicles to drive connection with the target consumers.

Must be highly organized and detail-orientated, with a strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with un-prompted follow-through
Excellent written and oral communication skills

Must be creative, with a high level of initiative.
Self-motivated and able to recognize and prioritize needs of the Brand to be in-line with local initiatives.
Similar work experience in cosmetics industry and retail environment preferred.
Strong computer skills. Knowledge of Photoshop, Adobe an asset
Fluency in French an asset.
Position requires creativity and knowledge in all areas of marketing including the ability to develop and implement innovative marketing programs, knowledge of marketing trends and consumer tastes, knowledge of ADF/Smashbox/GG product goals and objectives. Knowledge of functions of Product Development, Packaging, Design Consumer Research, Advertising and Sales and their effect on product marketability, as well as a proven ability to review budgets, sales and marketing related activity to coordinate a successful marketing program.
