  • Develop and maintain accurate monthly unit forecast for saleable and promotional in-line SKU’s. The unit forecasts are the quantification of the Business Plan and an important base to manage and achieve optimum Inventory.

  • Develop forecasts for new products. This is the co-responsibility of Brand Marketing and Forecasting. Read and understand the Brand’s positioning of the new product and the rating of the launch to formulate unit forecasts and rationalize with Marketing. Review usage plans for new samples, gifts and collateral merchandise for reasonableness, place order based on mutually agreed quantity and realistic and achievable on counter date.

  • Committed to the Brands with a strong sense of ownership towards the forecasts. Discuss with the Brands the impact of a huge launch has on existing products and the sub-category or franchise and recommend appropriate course of action. This in part will contribute to the timely development of the Brands’ business plan.

  • Develop and possess clear understanding of the unique business of assigned Brand and the supply chain of the company including but not limited to planning methodology, Supply Central Planning, Global Product Supply and China unique and complicated importation lead time and process. Fully understand impact on Brands’ stock availability as a result of change in product/program launch dates or delay in supply chain and be able to alert the Brands in well advance and proactively offer workable solution to minimizing/eliminating adverse impact on the Brands’ sales.

  • Proactively assist in the preparation of annual sales plans, monthly sales estimate and revised annual sales plans by providing the statistical support and analysis to validate recommendation of sales plans. In this respect, the Forecaster should discuss with Brands’ Marketing and Sales Managers as a business person with a thorough knowledge of the Brands’ objectives and prevailing market conditions.

  • Communicate effectively at all levels and persuade with conviction, clearly-formulated opinion and recommendation when reconciling forecasts with historical sales and budgets.

  • Manage assigned Brands’ inventories, including saleable, promotional and collateral merchandises and meet inventory management targets given by the Corporate. Minimize excess inventories via improving forecasting accuracy, strict control over promotional inventory ordering, closely monitoring execution of promotional inventory usage plans, timely review of brands’ assortment list, discontinuing/phasing out slow moving SKUs with prior approval from the Brands.

  • Review potential obsolescence inventory with the Brand General Manager/Brand Marketing Manager and obtain disposition for excesses and closely follow up on action plans.

  • Review Potential Obsolescence Inventory with the Brand Manager and obtain disposition for the excesses and follow-up implementation decision.

  • Take on special projects as assigned.


  1. University graduate with major in supply chain management/demand planning, finance or business administration.

  2. 6 years of relevant work experience in retail driven company or FMCG.

  3. Strong business acumen and influencing skill

  4. Strong analytical and good English language skills.

  5. Fundamental project management skills

  6. Attention to details. Able to work under pressure.

  7. Team work player with strong communication and good inter personal skill.

  8. Exceptional PC skills. Experience of using SAP (APO) would be a plus
