Report To : Education Manager / Regional Education Manager
The Education Executive will work closely alongside the Education Manage/Regional Education Manager to ensure consistency in service and to drive productivity and sales in all boutiques/counters across the region.
The Education Executive will also be required to collaborate cohesively with the Area Sales Manager/Account Co-ordinator to ensure brand standards are met and may be required to assist Education Manager/Regional Education Manager during classroom seminars.
- Education & Coaching
Educate Stylists, Artists and generic staff of product knowledge and selling behaviors to enable them to consistently achieve Sales and Services Expectations through the execution of basic trainings and regular field coaching
Plan and execute seasonal seminars and all field programs according to product launch strategy in order to ensure Stylists, Artists & generic staff are confident to achieve desired result
Assist, as required, with the facilitation of core education programs and directed by Education Manager/Regional Education Manager.
Identify relevant education opportunities and feedback to Education Manager/Regional Education Manager through regular reporting.
Adapt seminar strategy to custom-fit needs of each travel retail market /retailer and level of audience to ensure immediate translation of learning.
- Stylist Support & Talent Development
Act as a role model, set the example and provide directions, support and develop Stylists and Artists to ensure that they have the skills required to successfully achieve brand’s KPIs.
Coach and motivate Stylists and Artists based on individual potentials and skill to drive sales objectives and brand equity in travel retail environment.
Maintain high grooming standards and in-store sales & services behaviours to ensure consistency in the customer experience through the execution of the Service Excellence.
Prepare Stylist for Accreditation Program and Certification program for Artists following target guidelines issued by Global Education.
Work alongside Stylist and Artists to identify and address individual training opportunities.
- Sales Performance & Productivity
Achieve all KPI’s on overall retail growth and increase in AUS/IPT as outlined by Area Sales Manager/Education Manager/Regional Education Manager.
Execute Deluxe Service according to the Deluxe Service guidelines as directed by Area Sales Manager/Education Manager/Regional Education Manager.
Provide coaching and feedback to Stylists ensuring the successful planning, appointment booking and execution of Deluxe Service, and to Artists on How To lessons and/or counter events
- Other Tasks & Responsibilities
To be a role model of personal grooming to the Stylists and Artists based on standards as set by the Company.
Only Jo Malone London fragrance products and Bobbi Brown beauty products are to be used during working hours.
Maintain the brand image at the counter by ensuring counters, tester stands and displays are in tip-top conditions and states.
Expected time spend in field is 60% and must be readily prepared to work on any projects assigned by Education Manager/Regional Education Manager.
Work within specific budget as defined by the Brand General Manager/Director and review on a regular basis with Education Manager/Regional Education Manager and justify and variances from budget.
Provide regular feedback to Education Manager/Regional Education Manager detailing results of markets visits.
Complete monthly education reports and submit to Education Manager/Regional Education Manager in a timely fashion.
University degree holder preferred
Minimum 2 years in a training position and/or having 3 years of experience within the cosmetics or travel retail industry
Strong knowledge of skincare, makeup artistry skills. Knowledge and prior experience in the fragrance industry is a plus
Excellent communication skills in Mandarin (both oral & written) is a must. Fluent in English (both oral & written) is a great advantage
Excellent presentation skills and organized in instructional training
Have a passion for selling luxury brands and delivering high-touch services with the understanding in retail business and market with excellent customer service skills and standards
An excellent team player with great interpersonal skills
Resourceful, flexible, well organized, highly disciplined with the ability to multi task and stability to handle stressful and demanding situation
A self-motivator who is passionate, energetic with the ability to motivate and energize others
Willingness to travel 60% of the time regionally (Shanghai, Beijing, Sanya, Haikou and any possible new cities as assigned along with expansion), as well as internationally for training seminars and conference.
