Education Manager, Clinique, Travel Retail China
Responsible for the education and development of field sales employees in demonstrating product knowledge, Clinique Points of Difference, effective selling and delivering Clinique Service As You like It experience on-counter in order to achieve sales objectives.
Impart Brand’s concept and philosophy to all sales personnel and store management.
Motivate, create enthusiasm and inspire loyalty and commitment to Brand.
1) Education of Consultants and Generic Staff to drive Retail Sales
Impart product knowledge, selling and service skills in accordance to the brand’s standards.
Localize education programs and inject creativity into programs to ensure that selling techniques are adapted for travel retail environment.
Assess the effectiveness of education initiatives and adapt/adjust to improve as needed.
Conduct on-counter coaching and where permitted, work in store with Consultants to demonstrate product knowledge and selling techniques.
Collaborate with Sales & Education Co-ordinator/Area Sales Manager to identify education needs in order to drive retail sales.
Assess strengths and skill gaps in order to develop relevant programs that address those competency gaps.
2) Education Curriculum (Basic Training, Advanced Training, Seasonal Training and Workshops)
Ensure the successful implementation of Education curriculum based on the needs of each market in order to achieve desired business results.
Conducts seasonal Strategy Seminar to all Consultants and Generic Staff according to marketing calendar.
Coordinate with Affiliate Education Managers to include TRD Consultants in their Basic Training. Personally conducts Basic Training when the need arises.
Implement Accreditation programs in order to elevate Consultant expertise as needed.
3) Consultant tools/samples
Collaborate with Marketing to develop Consultant tools to engage customers more effectively.
Effectively manage the inventory of samples needed for Education programs.
4) Promotional and Pre-Event Training
Arrange and conduct workshops for all High Profile Promotions and events on-counter.
Support all on-counter events by working in-store with Consultants whenever possible.
5) Grooming Standards and Image
Ensure Consultants adhere to brand’s image as well as high standard of grooming and hygiene.
Maintain brand’s image and identity through correct merchandising and display.
Assist Area Sales Manager/Regional Directors in either presenting or preparing materials to educate the retailer on brands’ products, business and expectations of sales staff.
Assist in presentations, where required, to obtain new businesses, such as Airline presentations.
Facilitates Consultant feedback session with Marketing team.
Establish and maintain a good working relationship with all Retailers, each Affiliate and the local Brand and Education Managers.
Completes requested education-related reports timely.
Manage and administer education budget and allocations for programs delivered to Consultants and Generic Staff.
Organise Consultant Conference and Counter Manager Conference.
Experienced Education Manager, preferably within the beauty industry
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral (English and Chinese)
Willingness to travel (60%)
Strong presentation skills
Self-starter and have the ability to influence and motivate others
Flexible with high energ
