Function Manager, Public Relation and Artist Relation

Strategy & Planning

* Develop and implement PR strategies for new product launches and events in line with brand priorities and objectives and monitor results/review key learnings in China

* Prioritize and identify key market needs and challenges

* Work with Regional PR Director on strategies for the region and key market

* Create media plans and overall media strategies for major events in China

* Collaborate with Marketing, Artist Training and Development and Special Events Departments

* Direct affiliate PR budget

* Monitor and analysis fragrance market & media environment, competitor’s new products & PR activities, media trends and key topics, develop monthly analysis report

* Provide local key insights and learning’s to Global Communications Department in New York

Media & Influencer Relations

* Understand various media categories, including traditional an d new media (positioning, USP, column, structure, personality, etc . ) , and digital platforms;

* Create relationships with regional media to drive coverage for brand

* Investigate and identify local opportunities with markets to promote and build positioning of brand—particularly regional events and designer/influencer/artistry partnerships

* Assist with media opportunities by facilitating interviews with Senior Artists/Resident Senior Artists

* Coordinating PR0 Tours with Senior Artists with the objective of generating press coverage and establishing artistry authority for brand

* Monitor product offerings to international markets for trend and PR

Support the M A* C AIDS Fund initiatives in China through press outreach on grant initiatives

* Implementation of new and ongoing communication tools for markets

* Identify and establish relationships with the key influencers, such as fashion designers, bloggers, in the region

Measurement & Reporting

* Provide bi-weekly updates to Regional PR Director for regional trendspotting and new areas of play to leverage with brand

* Responsible for updating APAC Activity Chart

* Monitor the best-of-press reports submitted by affiliates

* Create Global Communications presentations for meetings

Event Management

* Oversee Trend Presentations by managing schedules, senior artists, materials etc.

* Support Artist Relations activity in China and realize AR ROI through PR. Recognize opportunities and support activity where necessary with Artist Relations team

* Manage & Coordinate China Senior Artist press activities and schedules

* Support new door openings with PR and media plans


* Minimum 6-8 years relevant experience in similar environment ;

* Awareness of trends in China, including fashion, pop culture and beauty industry ;

* Strong knowledge of public relations , media ( both traditional and new media) and digital platforms in Chinese markets ;
