-The primary role of the Senior Manager, Digital Communication is to support the scope, execution and delivery of communication programs that drive brand awareness, acquisition, engagement and traffic primarily in the digital space for the brand.

-A well-rounded and digital-savvy professional, with experience across owned, paid, and earned media as well as 360 digital campaign management including influencer strategy, ideally in a prestige environment, to support, lead and evolve day-to-day execution of programming, aligned to the broader marketing strategies and business objectives, working collaboratively with Global and Regional Digital / Communication Teams as well as cross functional teams in Japan.

1.Develop an annual communications strategy over and above the priority programs in the marketing calendar that drives buzz for products and Brand. Ideate a “lights on” strategy aiming to create coverage on the brand throughout the year, using social media, influencers, online and traditional media. Identify and lead key local communication pillars/needs in an integrated way to the global programs. Fully align on the strategy with Marketing Director, Global and Regional team

2.Plan and execute a fully integrated communication campaign utilizing assets provided by global/regional while developing locally relevant contents, and map across media and retailer channels, based on the deep understanding of competitive landscape as well as local influencer dynamics

3.Develop locally relevant storytelling scheme and contents to drive brand equity via emotional bonding for each launch/project initiative. With deep understanding of the global Brand equity pillar and messaging, effectively translate/adapt it into locally relevant storytelling. Develop local-led storytelling contents and messaging tactics to deliver across consumer touch points including digital, traditional media, and in-store with quality

  1. For each launch and program, establish clear KPIs and metrics (media mapping/impressions). Align the metric with the Marketing Director and global team prior to execution and provide analytical feedback post execution

  2. Support Marketing Director build organizational digital communication expertise, shifting communication focus to digital PR/media with a mindset of forward thinking, challenging the status quo. Expand working practices/contacts of social media platforms (retailers, blogs, Vlogs, other advocates) to drive modern and dynamic communication strategy. Establish external avenues to keep bringing best in class/most updated digital communication tactics and practices. Oversee 4 marketing professionals.


-BS/BA in business, marketing or related field with 5 years of experience working in digital marketing, digital media with a focus on digital campaign development and social media

-Knowledge of overall consumer marketing and brand management

-Strong communication skill to communicate strategies and detailed digital/social tactics and local cultural/consumer nuances both in Japanese and English

-Prestige/luxury brand experience is plus

-Highly motivated, capable of working independently yet collaboratively in an entrepreneurial environment
