Senior Quality Assurance Manager

Lead the team to assure and improve the quality of imported products and components by incoming inspection and close collaboration with manufacturing plants. Minimize business interruption and loss due to quality troubles by swift communication, decisions and actions. Pursue business contribution beyond the team and the division with excellent leadership and ownership. Manage DC labeling operations as a GMP responsible person against Pharmaceutical Affairs Law.
Always seek for the improvement opportunities of operation processes and take actions on both efficiency and effectiveness. Build collaborative relationships with internal and external business partners to achieve goals. Develop the people and drive “learning & proposal” mindset in the team.
Develop and execute the operation plan according to global QA strategies including people development on skills and comptencies.
Monitor KQIs (cycle time, product rejection rate, etc.) and improve opertional efficiencies while maintaininig effectiveness.
Enhance communications with internal/external business partners and lead cross-functional discussions and meetings.
Conduct product/component inspection of at least one brand, maintain records and retain samples.
Report quality troubles to the superviser, global/region QA, manufacturing plants and the other teams concerned.
Conduct trouble shooting and take corrective actions in cooperation with manufacturing plants.
Handle consumer complaints against imported products.
Ensure timely quality information sharing specifically with Brand teams.
Periodically review and improve Japan GMP for the product storage, the labeling and culling operations.
Support issue working team by collecting/providing quality information against product issues.
Support SAP process improvement, specifically on incoming inspection of imported products.
- Lead proactive risk management on quality and commercialize new products smoothly.
BS Degree or equivalent in science or engineering (chemistry or pharmacy preferred)
More than 10 year experience in QA in consumer goods business and more than 5 year experience in team/people management.
Knowledge in cosmetic products, quality management system, Pharmaceutical Affiars Law.
Knowledge in cGMP requirements of US FDA and process validation is preferred
Hands-on experience in supplier quality management/development is preferred.
Excellent communication with internal and external business partners both in Japanese and English.
Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft products. SAP experience is preferred.
Experience in the participation in cross-functional projects.
Good in the following skills: dealing with ambiguity, conflict management, negotiation, timely decision making, managing diversity, problem solving, logical thinking, presentation
