A critical role in Asia Pacific Design Center (APDC), the selected candidate will be tasked to lead, contribute and support all Project Management initiatives in the areas of retail store design and construction* in Asia Pacific. This role is responsible for the ownership and optimization of current project management process and systems to accurately measure current go-to-market execution and to chart continual improvement.

Selected candidate must have the ability to successfully navigate a multi-disciplinary environment in the areas of design, construction, finance, procurement and vendor management. Bridging all functions and external vendors, to drive cost optimization to effectively deliver store design projects on time, cost and quality.

In this role, the candidate must collaborate closely with and support APDC, Regional IP, and Affiliate Design Centers (China, Japan, Korea, Australia and New Zealand). In the smaller markets where there are no Design Centers such as SEA, HK and Taiwan, a direct operational project management approach is required.


  • Support business and brands’ growth by leading on-time delivery of high quality, on budget executions.

  • Apply and leverage best-in-class Project Management (PM) Process as an enabler to driving successful initiatives and act as a key resource of PM.

  • Adapt with agility project management methodologies to a variety of market conditions.

  • Scope project requirements, budgeting, resource management and project scheduling. Establish and lead project coordination meetings with members of APDC and key partners such as Affiliate Design Centers, Indirect Procurement and vendors.

  • Whenever necessary, conduct visits to factories/sites to conduct inspections, troubleshoot, recommend rectifications and perform project kick-off and close-out.

  • In collaboration with APDC and Regional IP, to educate and train markets and external vendors to comply consistently with applicable methodologies.

  • Support IP, APDC and other stakeholders, provide technical expertise in the implementation of design to achieve cost optimization.

  • Track, identify and analyze key drivers to outperform project management KPIs. Apply risk analysis, measure compliance to drive continual improvement.

  • Analyze project details and make recommendations to all stakeholders to overcome budget constraints (value engineering), apply agility in overcoming time constraints, and achieve quality results in an extremely time bound environment.

  • Collating and consolidating up-to-date project activities in all APAC markets, such as opening dates and channel distribution.



  • University or Diploma educations, with major in either Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering or Construction Project Management from an accredited university, polytechnic or technical institute.

  • Candidates who do not meet the educational requirements may be considered, provided they have sufficient years of experience in this industry.

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of direct hands-on project management experience in leading projects in commercial interiors, building construction or contract furniture. Specialized project management experience in retail or beauty industries, is a plus. Vendor management experience is required.

  • Strong Project Management skills in analyzing stakeholders requirements, scoping project requirements, budgeting, project scheduling, troubleshooting and solving construction issues, resource analysis and vendor management.

  • Proven organizational, presentation and coaching skills that demonstrate the ability to create, collaborate with and lead high performing multi-functional/cross-border teams to maintain focus on and deliver results. Superior ability to communicate clearly, transparently, concisely and in a timely manner.

  • Proven competence in office productivity tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Microsoft Project, and to comprehend construction drawings.
