Principal Objectives

To support Corporate Communication Director to build a positive reputation, awareness and enhance the current relationship with customers, government and media agencies, expand and build strong and solid government and mass media network to protect ELC’s competitiveness and reputation and support business development.


  1. External Communication

To help strengthening ELC corporate branding in Taiwan, our corporate communication manager is responsible for developing and executing ELC Taiwan annual communication program and ensure that our consumers, business partners, media and government receive the most relevant and up to date information through:

1) Key brands annual innovation programs

2) Corporate CSR programs (BCA, MAC Aids day, Earth day, Ocean day…)

3) Local key cultural development events (fashion, art) – joint actions with government, media and key associations

4) Support and execute with local HRD a local EVP

5) Support developing communication process and structure in the event of crisis such as negative media report on our corporation, brands and product quality

  1. External Relationship

To build sustainable business partnership and a consistent corporate image with our external community, our corporate communication manager will be responsible for enhancing and executing:

1) The network with government, communications, media, art, fashion, relative top schools, philanthropic associations

2) Annual corporate communication program and building strong long term partnership with key external stakeholders

  1. Stewardship and Partnership on Brand PR strategies and plans

To ensure the highest compliance to ELC corporate communication policies and local governement regulations, our corporate communication manager is responsible for:

1) Developing consisnet local comunication guidelines and effectiveness criteria in line with the global corporate/brand communication

2) Providing adapted support to brand PR on its brand communication planning and execution

3) Executing annual PR communication skills and knowledge upgrdae program to brand PR teams

  1. Internal communication

To support CCD on the execution of the key internal communication tools and events which are align with ELC vision and mission towards external and internal audience

1) Corporate website

2) Corporate newsletter

3) Corporate senior executives visits and meetings

4) Company transformation programs and events (such as SMI, HWWT, office redesign, year end party…)

  1. Corporate Consumer Communication

To help providing a cosnsistent ELC corporate high touch service to our consumers, especially to those who have inqueries on our company, our brands, our corporate communication is also responsible for our corporate consumer communication service at Taiwan affiliate with the below missons:

1) Lead and monitor consumer communication team and operation to facilitate smooth and timely responses to consumers’s inqueries for all ELCA Brands.

2) Update and summarize all incoming consumer contact data -- monitor consumer contacts recorded into database. Provides reporting/analysis and insight to each brands for better customer service/engagement and product insight.

3) Work with related function heads to provide the most relevant information to our consumers at inquery (product quality, service, promotion…)


  1. Education: University graduate or above

  2. Work Experience:

-Minimum 67 years experience on Public Affairs department handling government and media relations.

-Working experience in a large foreign based multinational cosmetics or FMCG is preferred

-Proved track record of PR activities

-Proved track record of internal and external relationship building

  1. Professional Skills:

-Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)

-Experience of online community management is a plus; familiar with popular websites and online forums

-Good skill of project management

-Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and

-entertain via written, oral, and visual media

-Excellent presentation skills

  1. Language: English: Written and spoken fluently

  2. Personal competencies:

-Sense of style, image and diplomacy

-Interested in cosmetic industry and/or retail industry

-Pro-active, creative mind-set, and be willing to think “outside the box”

-Professional maturity and ability to operate in a fast paced, competitive and adversarial work environment

-Strong media relation and agency management experience

-Self starter, team player attitude with ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

-Strong organizational, project management and problem solving skills
