Principal Objectives

  • Hold primary accountability for developing and implementing marketing objectives, plan and program, including product selection/forecasting, promotions, positioning, and consumer engagement.

  • Ensure, coordinate and follows-up on field execution. Evaluate results and provide feedback to Brand manager.

  • Communicates Brand Platform of Authority, Authenticity, Innovation and Storytelling through all messages and imagery. Develops strong relationships and acts as an authoritative source of information to beauty and mainstream consumer journalists.

Accountabilities- Ensure Customer and Market Growth

  1. Work with Brand manager to develop marketing and PR objectives, plan and budget to

ensure profitable brand growth.

  1. Consider global Brand objectives and offerings, marketing guidelins, cost of goods/ pricing objectives, manufacturing feasibility, and local market/competitive trends to make product selection, promotions, positioning, advertising and digital planning.

  2. Share findings on market trends (customers, prices, products and competition) with Brand manager to identify market-specific needs in terms of product, promotions, and creative concepts, especially when they deviate from global guidelines and offerings.

  3. Assist in determining discontinuations and price increase recommendations for existing products and price for new products.

  4. Develop forecasts for products and promotional materials and shares with Brand manager.

  5. Assist in the development of fiscal year budgets. Presents the marketing/PR budget to Brand manager, reviews and revises.

  6. Spearheads all procedures, forms, analysis, and reports critical to the execution of marketing plans

  7. Build an on-going relationship with beauty and mainstream consumer press,

blogers/KOL to ensure timely, accurate, positive and continuous press coverage.

  1. Proactively develop and pitch story idea that will enhance the brand awareness and consumer engagement.

Manage Operational Effectiveness

  1. Ensure strong execution of marketing/PR plans and major launches

  2. Oversee the processes critical to the execution of marketing/PR plans, i.e.: Project Turnovers, Creative Requests, Marketing Bulletins and Concept Proposals

  3. Orders product, promotional items (including collateral/visual merchandizing) and advertising/digital assets.

  4. Oversee forecasts to ensure planning accuracy and appropriate inventory levels.

Recommend plans to reduce excess inventory levels

  1. Represent marketing at brand and sales meetings. Responsible for preparation, re-cap, and follow-up of internal meetings in regards to programs in process.

  2. Prepare timely and accurate marketing bulletins.

  3. Maintain close contact with Training and Sales on current and upcoming programs to assure proper focus and accurate information

  4. Support Brand manager to develop trade presentations and strong sell-through systems

  5. Help develop sales cycle material to meet specific distribution requirements; follows up with Brand in New York and suppliers for locally produced items

  6. Maintain contact with distribution centers and key customers, follows up on promotion efforts, keeps informed on sales force needs and assists sales management as necessary

  7. Monitor expenses to ensure that they stay within budget

  8. Manage A & Pl budget

  9. Ensure timely delivery to customers

  10. Provide input to merchandizing, creative development, market development, sales promotion, and suggested wholesale price

Improve Business Processes

  1. Identify ideas for new product development and shares with Brand manager

  2. Make proposals and recommendations regarding media and advertising/digital choices to Brand manager.

  3. Interface with sales force and visit stores on a periodic basis. Solicit and compile feedback from field personnel as it relates to proposed programs.

  4. Review complaints and suggestions relative to assigned products.

  5. Identify opportunities utilizing new creative approaches and develops initiatives.

  6. Map out strategies for regular business and new product launches/introductions

  7. Make recommendations to the existing line based on reformulation, repackaging or value analysis needs

  8. Evaluate promotion and advertising program. Recommend improvements or changes.

  1. Provide leadership, guidance and management to staff

  1. Maintain appropriate communication with different functional areas of

the brand, and with the region and New York when required


Work Experience

-8 years of relevant marketing experience preferably in cosmetics business.

-Team-lead experience

­-Experiences of local (Taiwan) market is a must

­- Strong business sense and analyzing capability

­- Strong understanding of the brand and motivation for its unique positioning, culture and consumer dynamics

­- Extensive knowledge of competitive landscape as it relates to brands and products

­- Strong capability in translating consumer insights/marketing research/CRM analysis to marketing palnning

-Excellent knowledge and professionalism of digital communication is highly Peferred

-Strong communication skills

-Strong planning and executive skills

-Proven ability to handle a multiple of projects and issues at one time

Language- Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English
