Aveda EMEA - Education Events Intern (12 months contract)

The Aveda EMEA team are looking for an entry-level professional to join the Estee Lauder Companies for a duration of 12 months starting in September 2017. During your time with us, you will be supporting our brands with a variety of regional projects and events.

This will be a great opportunity for candidates that are passionate about beauty, eager to learn and take a hands on approach to work. You will learn from assisting with the following tasks:

Education Weekly Bulletin

  • Develop the weekly bulletin to be sent to the markets

  • Information is collated daily in the bulletin file on the R drive (Weekly Bulletin Education)

  • Create the bulletin and liaise with KK on the final content

  • Ensure that all education pdf’s are filed in the correct folder in the Global Trainers Library.

  • Include any relevant Brand Essentials updates on the bulletin and update in the brand essentials file.

  • Add in any European calendar updates where necessary

Education Monthly Report and Tracking

  • Create on a monthly basis a report summarizing monthly education initiatives to ensure all Education information is up to date.

  • Send onto EMEA Education Managers.

  • Collate Education Productivity trackers on a monthly basis

  • Create monthly Education summaries featuring monthly education initiatives and training figures from the Education Productivity trackers to be shared with the education and marketing teams.

EMEA Hair Colour Results Monthly Report

  • Analyse Magic Quadrant Figures

  • Pull hair colour sales figures from QlickView monthly

  • Update the Excel file with monthly figures

  • Create a monthly report summarising hair colour sales figures and numbers

  • Liase with Financial Manager to ensure that the figures are correct and ready to share.

  • Send the report to KK for final approval and feedback

  • Send Report to Education Managers and marketing teams.

Education Administration

  • Working with KK AND GP

  • Update the Education Calendar

  • Update Diary

  • Book Travel and Hotels

  • Coordinate meetings

  • Set up conference calls/webinars

  • Order FOC product

  • Read and respond to emails daily

  • Keep up to date on Education updates and Product Launches

  • Help Countries with Education Documentation

  • Send items via Courier when necessary

  • Assist with Budget

  • Attend European team meetings and relevant calendar events

  • Daily/Weekly Meetings

  • Assist with Education Projects

  • Including Photocopying and Printing Materials

  • Coordinate Events

  • Room Set ups for Classes

  • Room Bookings

  • Collate the Monthly Education Reports

  • Creation of Spreadsheets to collate information

  • Get competitor information

  • Follow up with countries for urgent information

  • Liaise with Marketing, Education and any other departments within Aveda/overseas affiliates on a timely and regular basis to ensure effective participation and excellent communication.

  • Look for ways to increase Aveda’s presence in the Industry by evaluating the feasibility and return on investment in participating in other Industry shows and events.

  • Liaise with all European Education Managers/Co-ordinators to book Educators well in advance to ensure efficient diary management and who will be attending classes

  • Setting up and Managing of Education Webinars

  • Relevant research

  • Collate class evaluation forms

  • Ad hoc duties as necessary

  • Master Jam Project/ Congress Project – Alternate years – (Master Jam is in Europe and Congress US)Working with the EMEA TEAM

  • Master Jam - Coordination, of all administration tasks, brochure, ticketing, artist liaison, budget, visual merchandising etc.

  • Master Jam - Further Tasks from Critical Path

  • Congress – Assist in creating a European package; collate ticket sales, hotel bookings etc.

  • Congress - Further Tasks from Critical Path

  • Working closely with KK


  • Liaise with Education Managers for update on all retail events, when, where, turnover for event, budget etc..

  • Ideas to increase customer visits new and return customers

  • Identify which multimedia can be used to attract clients

  • Monitor Events/Track Results

  • Track Mystery Shopping Results

  • Manage logistics of Retail EMEA Calendar Training (1 per year) 2 Day event

Education Protocols and Training Modules

  • Ad hoc creation/ update of new/existent service protocols for a specific launch, with step by step instructions on how to perform the service.

  • Ad hoc creation of Education Modules, including the creation of a presentation and Educator Guide to be used in classes, following existent guidelines and template.

  • Liase with KK and GP to ensure constant alignment of these protocols and education modules with current education strategy.
