the sustained development of new hair care and styling products or
modifications of existing ones with minimal supervision.
accomplishes technical results on projects of different degrees of complexity.
Ensures the timely
completion of product development activities using technical knowledge to
analyze and review results.
Activelydevelops commercially feasible new hair care products or modifies existingones.
Designs& conducts experiments requiring the selection of equipment & materialsfor the delivery of the project. Makes constructive contributions to productformulation.
Determines stability of the formulation andensures commercial feasibility.
Followsprojects from prototype development through manufacturing. Contributes inestablishing manufacturing procedures.
Assuresthat all testing to guarantee a marketable final product is on schedule.Precisely measure product characteristics and make timely recordings of theresults
Establishesstandards and submits technical direction summaries to lab management forreview.
Keeps laboratory management and key projectmembers informed of progress.
Identifiestechnical learnings, issues and solutions for all projects, provides suggestions on allexperiments and technicalities.
Trainsand directs technicians, temporary staff and Associate Scientists in laboratoryprocedures. Checks their work.
Assistsin resolving product or process problems.
Staysabreast of developing trends in the Cosmetic field and competitive information;builds depth of understanding and shares new approaches with the team
Interfaceswith all R&D departments, OA, Technical Services, Manufacturing and NYProducts Department.
Minimum Education Level: BS Degree in relevant scientific field, Chemistry preferred
Minimum Years of Experience: 5
Percent of Travel Time: 10%
