POSITION OVERVIEW

Le Labo is currently experiencing a very rare and special moment in a brand.

We are fortunate enough to be growing and expanding our cult following at an exponential rate and we would like to adapt and scale our internal organization accordingly. It is paramount during this growth period, that we preserve the values of our unique business model and mission: slow perfumery, man-made approach and mindfulness in everything we do.

We are looking for a Product Development Assistant who will support the Product Development team and intrinsically share our values and passion for craftsmanship.

This role’s key responsibilities will be:

  • Administrative Support

o Handles day to day administrative tasks including expenses reports, invoices, following up with the accounting department, follow-up emails to vendors, shipments/ tracking, and any other logistics duties

o Prepares mock ups and materials for meetings and daily Product Development activity

  • Packaging Support

o Ensures all packaging submissions, collateral assets, and competitive packaging inspiration boxes are extremely organized in the correct boxes weekly with the appropriate reference code numbers, dates and rejection/ approval.

o Organize and track all Product Development packaging and collateral-related samples, assets and various materials

o Creates and maintains tracker for all packaging projects

o Assists with in-house and outside vendors' product/packaging testing needs

This role will report to our Global Product Development Senior Manager and Packaging Manager and will work closely with the rest of the team, outside vendors and other departments on a day to day basis.

Qualifications

  • First and foremost, needs to genuinely fit with the culture of LE LABO and our values. We are looking for a “personality” with the right sensitivity and who will be eager to contribute to our mission

  • At least 1 year of experience in an assistant/coordination role preferred

  • Strong organizational and follow up skills are a must

  • Mindfulness with an outstanding attention to detail and ability to remain focused on very meticulous tasks

  • Comfortable performing various administrative and logistic duties

  • Multi-tasker with a strong ability to meet deadlines, organize and prioritize projects and to wear different hats, like everybody in our small company, “No task too big or too small” attitude

  • Hands-on and can-do approach on everything, actual doer / roll up your sleeves attitude / solution provider / go-getter/ driven by problems and new challenges / self-starter with the ability to work independently / entrepreneur mindset and constant desire to optimize and imagine new solutions to make it better / not afraid to come up with new proposals and to push for what has never been

  • Flexible, positive and enthusiastic; able to work efficiently and develop trusted relationships with different personalities, teams, vendors and graphic designers

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Computer proficiency with MAC OS and Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
